So is he a bargain now or at the end of the season?
did I not say “looking more and more of a bargain with every passing week” personally I’m convinced now he’s a bargain at £40m, others may take a little more time to see, which I why I said keep this marked for the end of the season

Which is why it would be silly to quote me at the end of the season as I am saying he currently isn’t a bargain at 40m.

It's 100% a foul by joelinton in the build up, but Arteta needs to understand that they are trying to make the best decisions and he needs to understand that mistakes happen...
Its a multi billion pound industry, mistakes shouldnt be happening and certainly not to the degree that they are. Bruno for eg. How is he staying on that pitch? He goes off and its a different game. I think for balance Havertz is lucky aswell, could easily have walked with little argument, a red certainly isnt being overturned if its given.

Arteta is right in what he's saying imo. There is too much on the line for the most basic decisions to be wrong and whilst Newcastle fans post immature nonsense like "cry more" they'll be crying when it happens to them next week or the week after.

I see plenty of defenders do the same thing on the flip side and no penalty given. Plus a lot of players make a meal of it. Defender needs to be stronger imo instead trying to get a foul.

I do agree though there seems to be a lot of dodgy VAR decisions going around. Especially when Michael Oliver is involved.
Oliver wasn’t involved today

That’s absolutely fair enough, there are still some Newcastle fans that are not convinced, me personally what I see on the pitch week in week out, in my eyes hes a bargain

When he has the impact Maddison has had at Spurs, for the same price, then he’s a bargain. I’m not talking just goals and assists, but just his overall input into the game. I’ve watched him a fair bit this season, way better than when he first came but still a lot more needed.

For me that is the worst thing about it. We know in the next couple of game weeks, Newcastle are going to be on the end of a basic decision even if it goes to VAR.

Have to admit i haven’t seen any Newcastle fans use the term “cry more“ after tonights result. My apologies if I missed it.

It's pretty clear it's a foul imo

I was just repeating what arteta said after the var debacle from Liverpool/spurs :p strange how he's changed his tune now a 'subjective' decision has hit his team isn't it

Tut didnt spot that. Like i said, when it impacts them they'll then moan and look stupid.

And yes thats quite clearly a foul. Easy one to give that.

It looks far worse than it is when played in real time. The Arsenal defender looks like he is auditioning for the Jürgen Klinsmann reenactment club. He has proper tried to buy that. If he had just stood his ground the goal would have never happen.

I do agree that the problem is refereeing decisions are far too inconsistent and I do believe there is a lot of bias in decisions.

United had a goal ruled out because it was "over" the line but it looked way more in than Newcastle's did. We ended up losing that game but if it went in and we equalised it could have quite easily gone the other way.

Manchester City have no bad blood because ten years ago they were irrelevant. They seem to not get any bad calls. Man United and Liverpool have trampled teams for decades and somewhere along the line the ref has grown up from a kid with that bad blood in him. Spurs/Liverpool a prime example.

Another case in point with Cities penalty against United. Ref wasn't going to give it and it wasn't a clear and obvious error yet Mr Michael Oliver who is out to get us in every game he refs suggests to go look at the monitor.

There is absolutely no way he cannot have no bias when he is a Newcastle fan. I have been saying this for ages now but I think Premier League refs shouldn't even come from this country and should be completely neutral.

Whos a Newcastle fan, the ref?
