Greenlizard0 Premier League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [4th - 6th November 2023]

Don't normally watch the post match stuff but I liked that from Cole Palmer:

"In some ways, was it harder playing against 9 men, timing your runs etc?"
"Erm.... obviously it's easier playing against 9 men." [You muppet]

No cliched BS, and in particular it was ultra-easy scoring against 9 men when the opposition think if a defender gets sent off that means you aren't allowed to have anyone take their place, you know, defending.

You doubted that Ange's comments about the VAR would be fun and pointed to the red cards being correct. I was pointing out that he got booked for his complaints during the game so he clearly had some sort of issue with the decisions and I speculated that maybe he believes Spurs players needed to commit 3 red card offences to get sent off, not just 2. I'm not sure what was hard to understand.

Did he get booked for that? I thought it was for stepping outside his area. And even if it was descent how do you know it was about the VAR?

Yes, I'm reaching :o

Yes you are. Spurs players fully deserved to be sent off, I'll be amazed if he thinks VAR was wrong, doesn't mean he agreed with every other decision the ref made or maybe something a Chelsea player did. The original post was about VAR.

edit: saying that Ange might come out and say VAR was **** but I doubt it and the club won't be releasing a statement to back him up  (not a dig at Liverpool)

If you can come up with a logical explanation as to why he was complaining and got booked for other than those big decisions then please share it. Otherwise, you're reaching :)
