Greenlizard0 Premier League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [9th - 10th November 2024]

If the player who is trying to do something is not statistically outperforming the player who looks like he can't be bothered then is that really better?
Yes, I think so. It's not all about individual stats.
Bad attitude is contagious and so is good.

Bad attitude is contagious and the opposite is true also.
Bad attitude like Garnacho refusing to pass to his teammates and shooting at every opportunity? Casemiro had to scream at him to make an effort last week. People seem to be missing the point that the other options we have, have been no better

Yes, I agree he is not the only one but he sticks out like a sore thumb.

Yes, of course it is. Because Rashford doesn't contribute anything outside of his offensive capabilities. Pretty much all our other wide forwards actually track back and put themselves about a bit. I would wager that the only way Rashford is statistically matching other wide forwards in the side is for goals or assists. By any other metric I imagine he is having a shocker.

What is this theory based on?

INEOS, Brailsford and co. come from a pro cycling background. If you aren't performing then you are gone. If you aren't even trying then forget about it.

One is a youngster, and one is approaching 27 and highest earners at the club billed as the superstar

Maybe it's in his contract? He has to start and play X minutes. Maybe the commercial dept force it also.

The commercial department will obviously be pushing for it because Rashford is the goldenboy. Social justice warrior, local lad etc etc. Doubt he has anything about appearances in his contract though other than bonuses.

If we can all see it, then surely the manager can see this though, so there must be a reason why he keeps playing that way.

Guess we'll find out under the new manager, should never be like that it hurts the team I remember fergie dropping anyone regardless of statues if not performing, Rooney , Giggs , Beckham etc
