Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread (and FA Cup) ** spoilers ** [23rd - 27th March 2012]

I get where you are coming from. The updates on sky were beyond good taste. "Sky sources: Muamba has said something to someone but remains a cough and splutter away from death. Stay tuned for more pointless info"

I find the amount of coverage it has gotten quite disproportionate. Soldiers dying on the front lines get less coverage than this. I mean hell, he didn't even die.

Gary Speed was another farce too. He was a well known guy in the football world, but it just got taken too far.

Great comeback. Doesn't really hide the fact that playing football on the floor with out and out strikers hasn't worked either.

England resort to route one more often then not in International finals. It's not worked since '66 and even then, that side played pretty ~alright football.

Englands problems are numerous, the 'Roy of the Rovers' media hype is crippling, the poor standard of players (obviously with exceptions) hasn't helped, the FA don't help, tactics and styles of Football at International level have left England behind.

Spain didn't win the World Cup because they had a 6ft striker on the bench. I think for League football, it's okay to have that choice, but not at International level. It's easy and predictable.

/Anyway, I don't want to take this off topic.

Shearer makes Dixon look like an absolute Newton of a pundit.

I love that everyone does the poznan against City :p

edit: How was Yaya's a great strike? It's a regulation save apart from the massive deflection it gets...

If ever there was an example of nailing your colours to the wrong mast its Liverpool and Suarez.

"Lets defend a **** at all costs"

Notable mention to Man City for attempting to take the heat off the situation by doing the exact same thing with you know who.

Does the changing of the clocks tonight mean that Tevez is closer to his family in Argentina??!!

Stunning goal for Crouch that is.
