Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [10th - 14th Feb 2012]

It isn't usually televised from what I remember no, I did wonder when it was cutting to an Ad break but didn't.

I bet Martin Tyler was glad he wasn't commentating, he'd of been devastated he couldn't shout his AND IT'S LIVE line when there was no ad break :D

How about a new punishment? If you get an infraction for whatever on here, you have to spend a month being DM's sub-editor/post approver.

Oh yeah, Mark Lawrenson said Thierry Henry wouldn't score any more goals after his winner against Leeds.

Stick that one in your smug, dullard face, Lawro.
He is a ****, cannot stand the man.

:D, although he wouldn't have got to do his, ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY's and completely dull monotone, 'Suarez makes it 2-1' :p

Get off your high horse.

Years before Hillsborough and Heysel it was all well and good giving it the big un about Munich and years after.

If it was this one Loki you will see me bashing our fans for giving the Munich chants as well, like at a train station on the way back from the Bolton game, I wasn't on any high horse, both of our fans have absolute scum who probably deserve jail time or banned from entering public places.

EDIT: Those KKK masks were just adding fuels to the fire and Ferguson's comment before the game about us doing all the fuelling for it were absolutely absurd.

I think we may have to say the Suarez/Evra matter is now closed on here as it is taking over

quick opinions as to whether folks want this ( no expanation or debate, just your opinion )

I'm more than happy for it continue, it would have been better to just keep the suarez thread open though. I fear it won't be the last time he needs a thread anyway :D

I have no idea how the whiny old **** has lasted on tv for so long. I just hope somehow his stay in the EPL is extended. The greatest player to grace the premiership.

In the pre-match interview KD was asked if he'd talked to Suarez about the incident and basically he said no there's nothing to talk about - yet judging by Suarez behaviour, you could say maybe he should have. Not only the handshake thing, but also at the end of the first half when he lashed the ball towards the bench/crowd, he was clearly wound up.

Don't get me wrong I don't particularly have any beef with Suarez, he served his ban but I think he could have handled himself better today. Also find it interesting that a player who hasn't scored more than 10 Premiership goals in his entire career is lauded so much, again not knocking him as a player but his goal return in the league is distinctly ordinary for a £23m striker.

Tell you what though, had Rio not got in the way of that Evra lunge after 30 seconds it could have been very interesting, both in terms of Suarez's and nearby player reactions had it connected, and how the ref would have dealth with it.

I just don't understand why 'pool fans and Suarez think he's the victim; he's simply not, he was (albeit unintentionally) racist to a fellow professional :/

All my Liverpool following friends and the ones I watched the incident with at the time thought it was great what he did and cheered him. I tried to reason with them that the whole thing could have gone away but Suarez brought it back to the fore. Over nothing.

I agree handshakes are nothing and the media are focusing on it when it's pointless. Still the clubs knew the whole country was watching and they let him make himself look the lower class individual.

The very player who said someone would have some apologizing to do. KD needs to reel him in fast because the abuse will get far worse if he carries on and he will use it as an exit strategy.

My abu mates , who have for as long i have known em, have alway hated united. Not the last 2 against the pool. I wonder why ???

Well that's the thing, stacks of people have criticised Liverpool's conduct yet I've not seen anyone do the same for Fergie and United. The Liverpool fans would have you believe we're just as bad though, hmmm.....

Great result for Saints today. Good to see Lambert and Sharp work well together. After a poor 2 months (in comparison with the last 2 years) it's good to see a fully fit team again.
West Ham away on Tuesday is a massive game but I feel that we can beat them if we play to our strengths.
Cannot stand Allardyces' Hoof Ball tactics. I know it gets results but it's so boring to watch.

Fair play mate and I think your right, both sets of fans do have that element of scum about them. I guess my frustration comes from hearing one thing from Liverpool fans and then another.

No offence to you if that's how any of my posts came across and apologies if I offended you.

Time for the Match of The Day analysis of it which will be funny/interesting to see how crazy they usually are these three. Dixon is pretty good but other than that usually it's madness.

Nah I can understand if you think I was acting as if our scum don't give it out, I was just appalled at taking abuse last week in the airport when I arrived back in Belfast, still find it extremely baffling people can find it as normal behaviour.

I'm not sure if I posted it on here or reddit, I'd like them to take a stance on these 'songs' so the people singing them are punished, they just put a complete sour taste in the mouth, unfortunately I don't think there is any crime in singing about them, but Liverpool and Man United could work together from banning them from the ground, have cameras on the supporters at all times :)
