Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [10th - 14th Feb 2012]

I'd like to hope so but I think all of the 3 around us have a little bit more in the tank. The spanking we got yesterday has been coming for a while because we have no squad, just a very good starting 11. Cabaye is back for Wolves and Tiote might make it and with our best 11 (minus Taylor which is a real shame) I would back us against anyone :)
 
Does anyone actually want 4th place this season?

Newcaste barely turned up at Spurs (no disrespect to Spurs at all, who were very good yesterday), and it could be argued that Newcastle should have got a penalty early on but whether that would have been anything other than a consolation is another matter entirely

Arsenal were very lucky to win yesterday, and a draw would have been a fair result imo, Liverpool did their best not to lose with 9 men+ behind the ball most of the time , but apart from 5 minutes at the start and 10 minutes at the end they hardly had an attempt on target.

Chelsea are absolutely shocking, 12 points out of the last 30 or something (I think thats what was mentioned on MotD)

I cant see anyone catching up to the current top three without a massive injury crisis for one or more of them (as if Man Utd havent already had that), but without some consistancy and battling qualities from one of the next four its going to go down to the wire

Whether AVB is still here next season is getting less and less likely also surely
 
I think with our full backs coming back from injury we can push on for 4th. We still have to play Chelsea and Spurs at home so we can maybe even push for 3rd if we can get a run together.

We were quite lucky yesterday but Sunderland's goal was a tad fortunate.
 
So surely he should nt have bitten? I honestly loved KD and Liverpool when I was a young lad in 80's and early 90's but KD really isn't covering himself in glory I'm afraid. Makes me a little bit sad if I'm been honest.

Are you serious? Ban our player for playing for us again over a handshake?

Also I don't understand why everyone thinks not shaking a guys hand he believed has lied and ****ed him and liverpool over makes him scum, I'm sure if it was your player you wouldn't expect him to.

Evra hasnt lied - Saurez was found to be guilty of the charges by an independant panel...., if Evra had lied then Saurez would have been found not guilty by the same panel

Its interesting you are so veamently (sp?) defending a player over something every other article that is currently out there from indeppendant sources are catagorically stating Saurez was wrong not to shake hands (esp as LFC was expecting him to shake hands with Evra

Where has LFC stated they expected him to shake hands?

And you think there isn't a slight chance the panel that found him guilty on based on probabilities could be wrong?

Also evra did lie, completely changed the word Suarez called him and claimed he has trouble saying it and exagerrated heavily how many times he said it.

Jesus christ, blinkered view or something? We think he's scum, because he's scum, not shaking his hand(if that is what has happened) is just ONE MORE thing that makes us hate him, not the only thing.

Diving almost every game, complaining about EVERY decision more than any other player in the league, diving more than just about everyone in the league, using racial slurs to wind up a black player, kicking parker in the stomach, sticking his fingers in a players eye, running into players and falling over trying to get penaltys, trying to get people sent off, being a general **** in basically every game I've seen him play.

For the record if he was an Arsenal player I would, want him gone, expect an apology after the way he's acted, and at the very least expect him to behave better after coming back from a ban.

Completely missed the point, how would not shaking a guys hand you feel has lied about you prove you are scum or add one more thing to the list.

Surprised no one thinks Fergusons comments are out of order, I'm sure if the likes was said about Cantona/Keane there would have been uproar.

Liverpool Fans think Evra is Scum of the Earth and a Liar

Utd Fans think that Bullseye the Bucktoothed Cannibal is a Liar and a Racist

Liverpool Fans think the mess has been handled the best way it could

A lot of fans think it's been handled badly and LFC have actually come out of this worse than Suarez

feel has lied about you? i thought suarez admitted to using a name towards evra that he shouldn't have done?

the best thing about liverpool yesterday was their away kit, nice design imo

Most Liverpool fans don't think it has been handled the best way it could.

Im abit disappointed Stevie hasn't said anything, although he might have been told not to.

This.

What I would say is I find the whole situation a bit comical now. Suarez apparently racially abuses Evra and a few people are in uproar and want him banned. Suarez doesn't shake his hand and the whole country unites and wants him thrown out of Liverpool. Could understand it if it was the other way around but a handshake? :o

Lets hope he doesn't go the rest of the season without scoring another. Early days but he looks already possibly a different style of player to Zamora that will be more effective in the style we're trying to play. Not bad for a loan/£3-400k.
