At no point does Evra keep his arm back, is is slightly lowered than its position when Suarez's other team mates shaked his hand? Yes. that's not holding it back, withdrawing it or anything else you want to see though.

I would completely agree, if it weren't for the fact he clearly does :confused:

I think Evra has been very clever. He's kept his hand withdrawn just enough that it was clear to Suarez he wasn't interested but also just not enough that it's not 100% clear cut for everyone else, then when he subsequently reacted and grabbed his arm, he's managed to make the entire incident look like Suarez was completely at fault.

His hand looks withdrawn to me and look at his thumb, his hand is closed, doesn't look as if he wants the shake.

I think you're over analysing it, the way you're coming across is that Evra was up all night working on this master plan to make Suarez look like the bad guy.

Picture is worse than useless Purdy, watch the video you can clearly see at the point where Suarez is face to face with Evra Evra is raising his hand.

To repeat myself from earlier there was clearly a reluctance by Evra but there was only one of the two that had no intention whatsoever of shaking the others hand and it's the guy Diadora track suit :p

It's hardly that complicated, and it's plain as day from the way Evra was dancing around in front of him later that he was clearly up for trying to wind him up.

I don't think Evra is as innocent in this as everyone would like to think and from where i'm sitting, his arm was very definitely retracted from that handshake. He raises his arm only after Suarez has passed him.

I think if Evra's hand was up in place for everyone else Suarez may have done it, regardless I wouldn't have shaken Evra's hand if I felt he had lied and if I was Evra and felt Suarez was actually racist towards me nor would I have shook his, was more the fact he seemed to be looking to get a reaction, I mean he did chase him in the tunnel and celebrate infront of him aswell, they can't all be coincidences :p

Evra had been plotting the handshake for weeks, ones does not simply come up with that masterplan in one night.
 
ffs, the ridiculous thing is no one knows if Evra reacted to Suarez not shaking his hand, for all anyone knows he said something to Evra, maybe Evra didn't want to shake his hand pulled his hand away and Suarez called him a ******....... or negro.

As for Suarez not wanting to shake his hand if he felt hard done by, maybe, I have no problem with that really as hand shaking is stupid and means as little to me as national anthemes, pointless crap frankly the lot of it. Problem is as said no one knows what Evra reacted to, so arguing for page after page over who didn't shake whose hand is based on the assumption that is the only possible thing he could have reacted to, which is clearly utterly incorrect.

Anyway, as said, and I might try and find it tomorrow a recent quote came across more like Suarez was only angry that what he said was spoken of off the pitch and his anger was pointed entirely at the fact that the unspoken rule is you don't talk about what happens on the pitch. Which comes across less as excuse for what he did and more as, I did it but Evra was wrong to actually go public with it as no one else does.

A still isn't some magic conclusive proof and neotehr is a comparison to 2 other handshakes. Compare all his handshakes with every player ever and see how it pans out rather than only 3 fixed photos.

You need to calm down a little, Suarez didn't shake his hand after serving then racism ban. Now that is clear as day and has actually happened and nigh on everyone sees this.
 
Lol this thread is comedy, did all the other Premiership games get postponed or something :p

I've no idea how Arsenal are in 4th given how fragile they've looked the whole season - if they can qualify for the Champs League that will be a massive achievement all things considered - though it's more to do with Chelsea's apparent implosion.

Strange, strange season indeed.
 
After watching MoTD last night, I can conclude that Luiz and Mertesaker are the main candidates for worst players in the prem.

Why buy one of the best defenders in England(Cahill) and then play a terrible defender(Luiz) instead of him? AVB is a massive idiot. Surprised he hasn't been sacked yet...

You can tell you haven't watched any Bolton matches this season, Cahill has been in dreadful form all season.

Still better than Luiz. Chelsea would have more of a chance of winning with 10 men than having Luiz on the pitch!

It is difficult for a good player to shine as part of a terrible team, now Cahill is at Chelsea with good players, he should show why he is an ideal candidate to replace Ferdinand/Terry.

Again some one saying/implying its ALL when its not all fans myself included and others have not said or claimed he is a victim.

He has done wrong in this and if you reffering to the game yesterday with the incidents so did Evra.

My 2p worth is that Suarez once again proved he was scum, Kenny once again proved he is completely deluded, LFC are intent on destroying their reputation with the handling of this situation and Liverpool won't finish fourth.

Now on about thr football its Advantage Arsenal in the race for fourth, everyone else lost, the Toon magnificently so :D

Edit: after reading that Guardian article and seeing Fergie's comments the best thing for Pool would be to follow his advice. Great article.

As Newcastle are very close to 4th do you think you can get it? I ask since atm were playing like were not intrested and have a crap player called Downing who offers nothing.

Chelsea are on self destruct, Arsenal will be good till RVP is injured :p
