Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [12 - 16th January 2013]

Scholes wont start, given his recent form though and the subsequent form of Valencia and Young Giggs may very well will though

Fergie would be mad not to start Valencia vs us. I think I'd make a right go at running through our defence

I don't even know where Newcastle stand on the injury front anymore. There was talks of Taylor and Cabaye being back in training last week. Will we risk them now? Or give them another week? I don't think we have much choice but to start them with the squad being so thin. How I would like us to line up:

-------------Krul----------------
Debuchy---Taylor---Colo---Santon
------Cabaye---Bigi---Anita------
---Marveaux---Cisse---Obertan---

"In the Premier League, there is no bigger club than Liverpool." I see Daniel Sturridge likes a bit of banter ;)

My predictions; we will definitely concede, likely to a be red card and it will be a score draw.

EDIT - Howard Webb in the mix - make that a Utd win ;)

EDIT 2 - How has Kagawa played in the last two games (sub & a start right?)?

In the same boat. My guess he may not start both games but come on for one and possibly start the other - probably scoring more goals than Torres in the process so worth a punt. Mata will probably make a better FF captain.

Ok so huge news emerging today surrounding Colo. And it looks like it's been confirmed by sources close to the player. Norwhich will turn us over tomorrow.

-------------Krul----------------
Debuchy---Williamson---Perch---Santon
------Anita---Bigi---Gutierrez------
---Marveaux---Cisse---Obertan---

With Williamson and Perch in the heart of our defence, anyone in the country could turn us over. They were a shambles against Brighton last week.

:( worst possible pair to face (the less than mighty) Grant Holt.

Should be the first week in years Holt does someone for pace...

I hate to be that guy but my sources suggest there may be some interesting news on the United goalkeeping front on Sunday.

Has Fergie been reading Frank's posts or something?

Cant see what De Gea has done wrong now to warrant being dropped  :o

So City havent won at Arsenal since 1975??...dont think that record will be standing for long as i fully expect City to beat us on Sunday.

If we are lucky, we might get away with a draw or miraculously beat City:p

Nice to see RVP talking about the title race on SSN, dont think I've ever heard him talking about the title race before ;)

---------------Lloris
Walker - Dawson - Vert - BAE
---------Parker - Sandro
Lennon --- Dembele --- Bale
---------------Ade

For this game please, hard fought win me thinks.

With that stat about City's win record at Arsenal it makes us picking up 3 points against Liverpool even more crucial, gonna be a nervous Sunday :(
