Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [12th - 15th January 2017]

I could season the next years worth of food with the posts from this thread. Jesus, some of you need to grow up :D

Why wont the FA just admit that Man Utd don't have to worry about the offside rule, and their players can get away with anything without worrying about getting a red card. I feel sorry for Liverpool, but we all know that at Old Trafford the rules rarely seem to apply to Utd.

Pogba was good recently against average opposition, you pay the big money for players that can make the difference in arguably the most important game of the season, instead he gets his own Twitter emoji, spray paints his hair, gives away a penalty and assaults another player. If I was a Man U fan I'd be livid, not only did he fail to win the game, he nearly lost it. You'd think he'd dial down the ego and work on his game, at least Zlatan has the talent to match the ego.

No, because I'm not an idiot. Every player has bad games. Pogba has been exceptional recently. I'm not going to call him a write off for one poor performance. He was fine in the second half, not outstanding but nobody was on our side today really.

I do have to question why Pogba was marking Lovren today, shouldn't that be Jones or Rojo's job, who the hell were they marking?

The Rooney tackle on Milner was an ankle breaker, it might not have been intentional but you basically had Rooney's full weight going into Milner's ankle. Rooney apologised right away he knew it was bad.

Given the team we had out today, a draw wasn't the end of the world, especially in the circumstances it happened.

Our record in these big games under Klopp is ridiculous. IINM, in 12 league games vs City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Utd and Spurs, we've lost just once, 5 draws and 6 wins.

I think the problem was that he wasn't marking him ;)

Jesus just seen the Pogba thing again, grabbed him by the neck and swung him down, should be a lengthy ban

Did we sneak in the win/draw or loss without playing :p?

So you mean that video where Milner misses the ball and his foot ends up where Rooneys boot is and Rooney catches him with his studs. There is 0 intent and the only reason they make contact is because Milner complete misses the ball. Its a yellow.

There doesn't need to be intent. If a challenge is deemed to risk causing serious injury it's a red. Rooney could have easily broke Milner's ankle or done his ligaments whether he intended to do so or not. It's a straight forward red but as I've said a couple of times, Oliver was scared to give us a decision after the red card.
