Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [12th - 15th January 2018]

Not even remotely close to being a deserved scoreline, that will probably take the pressure off City with respect to all the 'invincible' crap so fully expect them to pump whoever in the next game.

Good win but the state of the celebrations for winning a league game :D or did I miss something and this was the CL final? :p

Good game mind!

Well done Liverpool *spits* :p

Looks like you guys managed to put a stop to the so called City invisibles.

So yeh well done, one record Arsenal keep intact for another season :p

****ing hell! Get in!

We always make things hard for ourselves. Great start to the 2nd half and 4-1 didn't flatter us but the last 10 minutes was vintage us - ****ing about when we had half chances to make it 5 and then giving away soft goals just to make us sweat at the end.

I've stopped myself from praising Robertson over the last few weeks because as well as he's played, he didn't have a great deal of defending to do but he was really impressive today, up against one of the most dangerous right flanks in European football.
There’s only really Liverpool and Spurs who are capable of this because they play positive attacking football. City will lose at Spurs but won’t mess up against anyone else.
Yep. I think somebody said that it would be Liverpool that were best placed to stop City and they got laughed at. City are vulnerable at the back but teams are so frightened of what City can do to them that they sit off and make life easy for their defence. We're the most capable side of hurting City because we're willing to attack them but at the same time we're more likely to be on the end of a hiding from them too.

Yep, for the first 80 minutes they pretty much only overloaded the left so Gomez had lots of protection and then switched it and rarely did he faulted. Absolutely fantastic and the Masch style run was awesome :D
