There are half a dozen players in this side, minimum who would have gotten a hell of a lot more stick in the past 4 years if there was more quality players alongside them. Fletcher, Carrick, Anderson, Cleverley, Valencia, etc.

If you put Herrera alongside Carrick at the moment people might finally notice how utterly useless Carrick is, with Anderson/Fletcher along side him too many people see Carrick as good purely because he's better than those two.

That's pretty insulting including Carrick with the likes of Anderson and Cleverley

Yup, well, depends to be honest, I've really not seen him at CB but ultimately he seems strong and hasn't done anything silly today... really hard game to judge a defensive player though.

I would think Shaw, Rojo.... Smalling, Rafael, maybe Jones for Smalling.

The issue I see is Rafael's fitness, Jones/Smalling are willing to run forwards down the right but they really don't have an awful lot of quality. Without seeing him at right back I would still guess that Rojo would do a better job at fullback when Rafael is out than Jones or Smalling.



lol, Valencia is so awful, 5 yard pass to absolutely no one at all. Utd need to find someone to cover right fullback that isn't Valencia.

It absolutely makes sense to protect Shaw if he's not quite there yet, and even as woeful as Valencia is... even he can't screw this game up for Utd :p
