Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [13th - 17th September 2014]

You still have some chaff amongst the wheat but you look a completely different team than the shower of **** on display before the international break. ManU fans should be looking forward to an exciting season even if you don't win anything.

Falcao has put himself into space in the box several times now. Januzaj wasted a few of those opportunities by being selfish.

Great performance and win, very happy with that!

All the new players looked great, shame Falcao didn't score but the game fizzled out a bit towards the end.

Something to build on!

Pretty pleased with that. All the new guys played really well. They are all 10x better than the **** we have got rid of thank god.

Evans should not be making such lazy back passes at the level he is playing at. No excuse.

That's more like it.

I know it was "only" QPR at home but last year this would have been a very different game. We should be hammering teams like this at home but as the start of the season showed, we're still going through a rough patch and this match is something that should at least start building some confidence.

That was essentially a training ground exercise for United. With Fer and Sandro in midfield and Hoilett and Phillips on the wing I expected QPR to play with a bit of bite and energy, but they were so lazy it was embarrassing. I can't remember QPR putting any pressure on Blind or the central defenders when they were on the ball - they just had all the time in the world to work the ball forward.

We have been a little lucky that our competition for the top 4 have been slow off the mark as well but I expect us to kick on and hopefully compete for top 3 now.

Good game for United, QPR were woeful.

Bigger tests to come, I'm not still 100% sold on that United backline. Accident waiting to happen.

On that showing v.Persie should be the one who's worried about his position in the team, I thought he was poor.

Just like it should have been for Liverpool vs AV yesterday :D

.

Remember at the very least we have Shaw to come in at LFB and Rojo to move into the middle - and possibly Blind - would make the defence a lot stronger
