Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [14th - 17th September 2012]

Graceful and majestic.... :D

Iv been having fun looking for more Heskey moments

One of the best...

I was going to say that it looked like he slipped but given that he has always had trouble staying on his feet it's not really an excuse. :p

I'm just surprised that he didn't end up playing for Macclesfield 12yrs ago, there are plenty of players of his ability at that level very few get the opportunity to play at the top level like he has all of these years.

Should have been a pen to Norwich, Collins fouled two Norwich players with one challenge(Two birds with one stone) just inside the box and we screwed up the free-kick.

No De Gea again?

Was almost losing to Southampton his fault as well?

Giggs and Scholes start, no Kagawa or Rvp (on bench)

Could be a dull match, still hoping we can have our first convincing victory.

United: Lindegaard; Rafael, Ferdinand, Vidic, Büttner; Nani, Carrick, Scholes, Welbeck; Giggs; Hernandez. Subs: De Gea, Evans, Valencia, van Persie, Cleverley, Powell, Kagawa.

Carrick, Scholes and Giggs? That's going to be a slow midfield.

Full starting XI just because no one has posted it;

-----------Lindegaard-----------
Rafael--Vidic--Ferdinand--Buttner
Nani---Carrick---Scholes---Giggs
-------Welbeck--Hernandez-------

Subs: De Gea, Evans, Powell, Cleverley, Valencia, Kagawa, RVP

EDIT: Damn it

EDIT 2: Guess the above could end up being a 4-3-3 with Carrick, Scholes and Giggs in midfield, Nani right, Welbeck left and Hernandez through the middle. Either way looks more solid than exciting.

Yours looks prettier :p

Still not convinced that Welbeck and Chicho together can ever work, and Buttner is going to have his work cut out if Giggs spends most of the time in the middle.

Chelsea @ QPR: Cech, Ivanovic, Luiz, Terry, Cole, Mikel, Lampard, Ramires, Hazard, Bertrand, Torres

Subs: Turnbull, Azpilicueta, Cahill, Romeu, Oscar, Moses, Sturridge.

I think it's fair enough to have RvP and Kagawa on the bench to start with (they may have a couple of slight niggles/be tired from the internationals).

If we do have any issues Welbeck and Hernandez will have to step up to the mark, it will be interesting to see if they cause the defence many problems, or more likely, have a session of constantly running offside and messing up simple chances.

Hernandez looked good when he came on against Southampton and scored the winner for Mexico in midweek so fingers crossed he's coming into some form
