Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [14th - 19th August 2015]

What has Matthew Penistone done, aside from having an incredible surname, to seemingly deserve a place on every BBC live text? Seriously, he's there every week!

Been a really good game to watch as a neutral to be honest, some of Arsenal's football has been fantastic and you'd have to assume a match fit Sanchez would have scored twice.

Man City Team: Hart, Sagna, Kompany (C), Mangala, Kolarov, Yaya Toure, Fernandinho, Navas, Silva, Sterling, Aguero

Subs: Caballero, Zabaleta, Clichy, Nasri, Demichelis, Bony, Iheanacho

Chelsea Team: Begovic; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry (c), Azpilicueta; Ramires, Matic; Willian, Fabregas, Hazard; Diego Costa

Subs: Blackman, Zouma, Mikel, Loftus-Cheek, Cuadrado, Falcao, Remy

Good win away at Palace, decent match, lots of good football. Giroud showing his good footballing brain again, great technique for a big guy. Like a Bergkamp on roids. On to Liverpool at home, big game!

Lucky day for arsenal

Very, own goal to win when frankly Sanchez jumped in at speed putting two hands into the back of the player he won the header against... could easily and maybe should have been given as a foul. Had the player gone down maybe more likely to have been.

Coquelin could/should have been off in the first half then gave away two more fouls either of which could/should have been a second yellow.

Ox useless once again, he runs around a lot but does so so little. One great shot against Chelsea doesn't make up for the ridiculous lack of end product from all his running. At one point Palace created a chance because a loose ball went past him less than 5 yards away and he entirely ignored it letting them regain possession 15 yards outside our box. He's got pace but almost nothing else to his game.

Wickham... don't think I'll ever understand why Palace went for him, why they spent so much on him, why they started him. Appears to be an entirely useless 'player'.
