A bore draw, was either that or a loss, as when results go our way, time and time again we just don't take the advantage, so id have been shocked if we'd have won
Lallana and Wijnaldum. Not only have both played extremely well this season, Lallana in particular, but they're pivotal to how we play. Without both of them we had to completely change our approach to the game.
I'm desperately hoping we get Mkhitaryan on form before too long.
Neither of those would have played though. Even Martial, I'd have been surprised if he played.

Shaw would, once he gets a run. Hopefully Miki will too.

Yes. There's a reason why Young played and that wouldn't have changed had either of those been available. He was there to work hard defensively and put crosses in the box.
I've said before that I don't believe Martial or Shar are players that Mourinho particularly rates. He's always gone with workers and reliability over flare. After the way the City game went there was no way Mourinho was taking any chances today.

Ibrahimovic's chance was far better than Can's chance. Keep going though Moses, it's still fun seeing you pretend you're not a Liverpool fan

Which would be why Young has started....0 games this season until now. Baz, come on. He hasn't even started the Europa league games, he's not even second string for us. Only game he's started is the Northampton one I think.
Not a positive result, it's an equally bad result for both teams. Most people had Liverpool down as winning comfortably so that says a lot.
He scored in his last game and could have come on in the second half and run at the defence. All ifs and buts, no guarantee Liverpool would have won with Wijnaldum.
+1 but atmosphere tonight was wrong for him to be introduced imo
Next weekend vs Chelsea - big atmosphere still but much easier than tonight
Because you've played inferior sides, other than City and look how that went. Why didn't Lingard start? He's been in the side recently but he was dropped for, as you say, Young who's not started a game this season. It's obvious that Young was brought into the side today for a specific reason.
