Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [16 - 21st August 2013]

So that will be 2 defenders fit for next weeks game, Mert and Jenks. Horrible landing, not a clue why he'd try and make that header against a bigger stronger player in a game that is lost, why even try.

Back four in the next few games, Jenks, Mert, Ramsey(did Miquel go off on loan in the end), Rosicky maybe?

Man Utd lineup is a joke, nothing has changed, same crap selections, same crap football.

how do valencia and giggs get picked. It's useless, we're wasting minutes for kagawa on an ancient old man who cant keep pace with any reasonable side.

Probably because Zaha had the England bits.

It's an understandable line up considering who's fit and who isn't. Not really many other options.

It means we're going into a tough run of games having played our first team zero times at all though, that's just a nightmare situation. Rooney/Kagawa etc, do we just leave them out of the Chelsea/Liverpool games or stick them in and hope it works?

It's just such an unspiring lineup, still got one not great winger, still carrying Giggs, still carrying Welbeck, still doing out best to turn Phil Jones into the new O'Shea.

Let's hope Van Persie can save us.

Kagawa as explained several times has had barely any pre season, hasn't looked fit and has played poor. Coupled with him flying half way across the globe this week to play a meaningless friendly.

It's not a surprise that he doesn't start, he needs time to get up to speed.

Valencia or Zaha could have gone either way but I'd imagine Moyes wants some experience and break Zaha in from the bench rather than throw him in at the deep end away against Swansea on the opening game of the season.

Plus, I don't know what people expect. It's not like there's going to be a revelation of system, line up or football in a month and a half is it. He's barely got his feet in the ****ing door people, jesus.

Remember Arsenal fans, what happened last time Wenger panicked and bought Santos.

We need more then just a santos. We need 2/3 world class defenders, 2/3 new world class midfielders and a star striker.

O and a new manager to boot.

Compare united to arsenals team and see who really is the joke

I honestly don't understand how people don't realise that the squad has quite a lot of injuries and **** all pre season in the players in the wide and attacking positions.

Nani, Hernandez, Kagawa, Rooney, Young - all of them are either injured, have been injured, getting niggles, had no pre season/very little and don't look sharp. Most of them have a combination of all of it.

You don't just throw in players that are totally off the pace and hope they can cope and get up to speed, they've got to be brang off the bench to introduce them and get them sharp.

EDIT: The only thing people should actually be disappointed about is that fact that Januzaj, who's probably looked our best player, hasn't made the bench at the expense of Rooney.
