Excellent result, poor performance after toying with them for so long

The main thing though, get ****ed Martin Tyler

Excellent first half performance, solid second half.

I'm astounded we got Matip on a free transfer, he's settled in so well and looks like the imposing and composed CB we've been after for years.

Also really impressed with Milner and Lallana tonight, the pair don't stop running.

Bar the Burnley result, it's been a fantastic start to the season

Really happy for Lallana. Hes someone who just gives everythings hes got and is finally getting the credit for it. When i can get to Anfield its so evident the work he puts in week in week out.

A very similar performance to the performance vs Spurs - comfortably the better team, should have scored more and overall, defensively very solid. Our problem is no matter how well we defend on the whole, we always switch off at some point and allow teams back into games. If only we could cut those moments out, we'd be an incredible side. That said, 10 points from Arsenal away, Burnley away, Spurs away, Leicester home and Chelsea away is a very decent return.

Stunning goal by Henderson and I've been really impressed with how he's adapting to the deep lying midfield role - he's still not perfect at it but he's learning fast and controlled the game today. But the real standout player for me, both today and since he's come into the side is Matip. I've been trying not to say it but he's looked top drawer. He's been solid defensively, positionally always in the right place, dominant in the air and so cool and calm in possession. When he steps forward it's not just a token gesture, he actually looks to make a contribution to attacks.

Briefly on Chelsea. I know there's been a lot said about them being a force again under Conte but if I were a Chelsea fan I'd be concerned about his midfield pairing. Kante and Matic just aren't good enough on the ball to play in these big games. Playing against a team like Liverpool the key to exposing us is the speed in which you can get the ball into your attacking players. Neither Kante or Matic could play that first time ball into Willian, Oscar or Hazard and by the time the ball did get to them, the likes of Lallana, Wijnaldum and Coutinho were back in defensive positions.

Couldn't understand why every time Chelsea got the chance to cross, with Costa waiting, they went for a bull squirt ball along the ground behind the line of play. Pretty much all second half, was baffling.

Well played Liverpool.

Considering Liverpool's Schedule over the next few months they could easily be top come Christmas. Klopp will be looking for 25-28 points from this lot.
