Agreed but there have been plenty of games this season where we had chances to win games but didnt finish and ended up losing, Sturridge would have buried a fair few of those.

Yes, I believe it was a conversation with BR in Nov that said his game time would be managed and then that was that he was off.

As above I imagine, he probably believes he's up to however much, our club didn't. Whether any compromise was offered who knows.

I don't know, my heart says last season has ruined him, he's not been the same since in fairness, would it have been this bad if he'd have signed a new contract? No idea.

Difficult one to answer. You also don't know how much/if at all he hates BR. Maybe he's looked around and seen nothing but **** in the shirt and he's ejecting before it really implodes next season.

He reckons if he'd met Rodgers earlier in his career he would've won more trophies or words to that effect so I imagine he rates him highly.
If your best player ever is bailing out before it really gets bad then as a club you're better off without him, however I don't think that's the case somehow.
 
Liverpool just need to sign some decent players. They need to blurt a stupid amount of cash again. It's that or resign themselves to accepting mid table mediocrity, and we all know that comes with the possibility of relegation scraps in this league, regardless how big a club you think you are (Newcastle?).
 
Liverpool will always be top 6/7 even in the worst seasons. History alone will attract players and they will always have funds. Can't see them having a relegation scrap in my lifetime.

Like you said, only if they attract the players, which means money. Otherwise I really think they will struggle and mid table can soon become a scary bottom table. Do many players really go for the history these days? Not many I suspect.

Whatever they do, they need to do something positive because losing big players hurts bad (suarez, Sturridge) and now Gerrard and who knows what will Rahim will do in the summer. Given then incompetence that Rodgers can display, I'm sure he can stuff the transfer windows up too

Thanks for everything Steve G. One year too much imo but you are the sole reason Liverpool managed to stay some what relevant. Without him I think we would have gone the way of forest.
 
Going for a 3 - 1 loss for United today. Unless Wenger is just suicidal and decides to attack full on. We haven't got Rooney, Carrick or Shaw so I have no idea how we will line up. Blind in DM or LB? I prefer him at LB but we haven't got anyone else to go in the DM role bar Herrera which then leaves us with rubbish further up the pitch.
