Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [17 - 19th November 2012]

^ Sky Sports brought it up to both managers in the after game interview, and after Rodgers rubbished the claims the interviewer says "Well it didn't look particularly bright at the time"

Luis' tread on Distin was a bit worse and Everton didn't make anything of it..

Just home now after our original flight being cancelled due to our pilot feeling a wee bit sick, so a nice 5 hour delay and flight takes off just before our MOTD highlights -_-.

First half gave that vibe of a 0-0 coming even though we played some nice stuff, really great second and pleased for Hendo for a great performance.

Also, is it just me or does Rooney leave an enormous hole in the team that even the likes of RvP can't cover? :(

.

Are people only just realising this?;)

We simply dont function without him, he is our most important player by miles and our driving force.

If we had a competent midfield, or Nani on the pitch we dont miss him so much, but playing a one paced gutless midfield, with the hapless Valencia on one side and Young on the other, well, you pretty soon notice that massive Rooney shaped hole in the team.

Only because QPR were utter ****.

Hansen was worryingly nice about us! Going forward we had better than most of the best, just not all the confidence. MOTD highlights hopefully will have everyone queueing up for Puncheon over Christmas too!

Have to have a saving note for Gazza as MOTD made out he was terrible when he was only a 6/10 with the rest of the team getting 8 or more...

Very happy you won! Puncheon looked awesome (greedy) on the highlights. Hopefully another nail in the coffin as far as QPR's upcoming relegation goes...

We were awful - £110 return train ticket, £20 quid to get in and then breakfast and lunch only to see our first shot on target in the 89th minute... which went in and we drew 1-1 :D I went absolutely berserk, I HATE Graham Westley... to waste time he ordered a substitution and then cancelled it as the player was walking to the touchline... such a douchebag.

So happy our manager basically celebrated our goal in Westley's technical area!

Hangeland sent off for Fulham, what a bizarre tackle to make! Sunderland might actually get into this game now!

I'm considering sacking Sky Sports off, every game is getting ruined by red cards, how is that a red card? Change the letter of the law ffs.

I feel sorry for the people who pay to watch.

1-0 Sunderland and no prizes for guessing who.

A lot of people laughed at Fletcher's fee but he's a really handy player. His first touch for his goal just now was perfect and set him up with a relatively easy finish with his 2nd touch.

what a waste of money, why would you put 20 quid on hangeland to score first? so unlikely.

That specific bet has won me plenty in the past!.... I have had it at least 3 times in the last few years. I was using winnings left over from yesterday. I he is one of a group of defenders I regularly do along with lescott, cahill, vermaelen to name a few
