Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [19 - 21st October 2012]

Is he deformed? :p

For the dive?

As for having it in for him - he only got booked for an elbow at Anfield last season.

I'm on about now, not previously.
It wasn't even close to a dive yesterday but as he has done before this season refs are looking for it and anything that remotely looks suspect will get picked up on.
I expect Hazard & Suarez to be under the same scrutiny now too.
This isn't a bad thing or a complaint of course, just an observation of the current climate.

I missed his booking tbf but saw somebody on here saying he dived.

As for Suarez to now come under scrutiny, you're taking the ****. Suarez can't even scratch his arse without it being an issue.

Lol, keep trying though. It's cute

You're getting as bad as the Liverpool fans on here :p

I agree that the ref killed the game, but it was definitely a red card I'm afraid. I don't think that many people would have batted an eyelid if he had been given a yellow though due to the nature of the game, being a derby and all. Tiote looked like he was getting tetchy after being fouled and had a bit of a rush of blood moment. I'm sure he will learn from it (and get a telling off from Pardew lol).

If he'd done it before the whistle had gone I agree it wasn't a red. As it was after the whistle had gone it's classed as "afters" and that's generally a red.

Is that refs on his case or just the bilious gang in here?

Fair enough, agree to disagree. I have calmed down now :p

Newcastle were lucky that Sunderland are so inept going forward that they managed to get a point from that.

lol at thread, methinks there was a bit of a catfight while I watched the second half downstairs :p

QPR unlucky to not win, still Park being utterly useless, far too many tame passes or slowing down the play.

QPR certainly deserved a penalty, so obvious and right infront of the ref, clear as day. Pienaar, harsh to get the second yellow for what he did but it was repeated fouls, realistically he could and probably should have gone for previous foul. Also again Quinn thinks its not because he's stupid so it was deffo a red.

QPR are playing better and better, they've lost games but haven't been entirely terrible, mostly just defensive mistakes. Zamora isn't in form which doesn't help but Taarabt, Hoilett are pretty decent, Granero is really quite good, Mbia/Diakete were very good, Nelson didn't cover himself in glory for the goal but was otherwise pretty decent.

The main weakness is still Park, he's just completely useless, they should really start looking to get Ferdinand fit and push Mbia into midfield, instead of Park and let Granero get in the box more.

As they pointed out, the international break was the really the first time the squad has had a week together to train rather than prepare for the next game. QPR are improving, but at some point they need to start picking up the points. Midfield is starting to click, defense is improving(they were a COMPLETE disaster in the first few games), when the midfield and front start to click together they should be able to pick up points, will they survive, who knows.
