fantastic 2 games.
first 45, other than a few promising attacks, spurs looked out of it but AVB is showing his credentials as his subs and switching bale wide due to being crowded out in the centre did the trick.
huddlestone slow as a tank and has the turning circle of the qe2 but he can time and pick a pass with the best of them. holtby got in city's face and they don't like it. parker really is a shadow of the player he was last season but dembele gave yaya a good run for his money and barry seemed absent. losing milner helped and them not having silva or aguero was a massive bonus.
nasri is a horrible little **** from memory, wasn't even carded for a bad challenge. vert and dawson put in a solid performance in the second half, BAE and walker went missing at times, way out of position but not as bad as city's defence did when we scored. completely lost their shape and i've no idea what kompany was doing for our equaliser? but city had been on the ropes for a while before that and 3 goals in 7 minutes against city is quite an achievment. beautiful finish from defoe who played far better than manu who had been ****ging city off in the press 48 hours before and then didn't look like he wanted the ball when it came to the crunch.
great spirit and energy. really made up for AVB, i'd written this game off as a loss before ko. if we can hold onto bale, get 3 or 4 quality signings in the summer, give walker some positioning lessons, flog manu and get michu or benteke or someone who can finish and bully a defence and there's no reason we can't be looking for a consistent top 4.
and lol suarez. keep him at liverpool. he's the gift that keeps on giving.
