We cant be retrospectively consistent.

The Defoe decision was wrong, the Suarez decision is right.

Just because they ****ed up before doesnt mean they shouldnt get it right now, and for every incident from now on.

Except they'll get the next one wrong and someone will benefit from it and then a few later someone will get the short end of the stick again.

If anyone wants to laugh people on rawk complaining evra having that fake amputated arm is a serious offence after the boston bombings and shouldn't go unpunished :D

Then Liverpool fans can have a moan about inconsistency if another player bites someone and gets a three match ban.

But then they should also consider the players previous in any decision, is he a cheat, diver, dirty player, does he fake injury...............not Suarez again ffs :D

It'll be good when any chance of fourth is gone after 5 games like this season where we managed a stunning total of 2 points with him.

Although doubt we can get City Arsenal and United in our first 5 again

Longest bans handed out by the FA......

9 months - Manchester United's Eric Cantona for his 'kung-fu' style kick
9 months - Chelsea keeper Mark Bosnich who tested positive for cocaine
8 months - Rio Ferdinand of Manchester United for missing a drugs test
12 games - Joey Barton QPR fighting v Man City
11 games - Sheffield Wednesday's Paolo di Canio for pushing over referee Paul Alcock
10 games - Former Southampton player David Prutton for shoving referee Alan Wiley
9 games - Paul Davis of Arsenal for punching Southampton's Glenn Cockeril
8 games - Liverpool's Luis Suarez for racially abusing Patrice Evra
5 weeks - Man United's Roy Keane for comments made in his autobiography

Note that the other similar assault on another player (a punch) only got 9 games.

Definitely a conspiracy against Liverpool.

Toure only got 6 months for testing positive to taking a banned substance.

They make mistakes, like when they let Defoe get away with it, suck it up and move on :)

Take it on the chin or teeth and move on. We got to see as well what he gets from fifa for the punch, although that would be for international games. Still he could spend a lot off time out of action. Time to sell him in the summer. Even if he clears his game he will not be the same player, its all part of the suarez package.

It's not about the bite, its about the player as a person and how they conduct themselves on the pitch. How many times has Mcmanaman commited horrendous tackles in the premier league before the one which went unpunished, how many has Aguero done, how many things has Defoe done in his entire career... how many has Suarez done.

Its very likely that had Aguero been a nasty piece of work, they wouldn't let one severe incident go and would have decided to take measures to give him a ban.

I don't know why retaliation is often seen as worse or punished as worse, because frankly thats nuts. Someone who bites someone FOR NO REASON, except mental instability, is MUCH worse than someone who is angry after being fouled. Is it an excuse, no, but its understandable because as humans we've all been angry and said/done things we didn't mean, that is human nature. What you do by choice is infinitely more meaningful and indicative of the person you are..........

Again, the FACTS we can state are that Thatcher got a 8 game ban and was told quite specifically, do it again, and we'll give you a 15 game ban. Punishment gets worse the more bad things you do, there is not a place on earth this isn't true, sport, society in general, the work place, at school, everywhere, but you guys think he should get a 3 match ban because its a bite and nothing else.

Funnily enough Suarez excepted his 7 match punishment for biting previously.... but now has a problem with it saying anything over 3 is too much.

FIrst thing I can find on record that he did wrong, at 15 he headbutted a referee...... not much has changed them, still an epic **** and still doesn't learn.

The attitude that you constantly display oozes the fact that you think it's all against Liverpool and that you are being targeted as per.

Oh even better.

You'll have to show me where I said it has anything to do with it being Liverool Football Club.

It's life I'm afraid.

It's like being a petty criminal and getting caught nicking in a shop, if he goes to court and the judge see's that he has been done for kicking in a shop door and that he was cautioned for unsociable behaviour, they all add up and he will be hit with a bigger sentence.

I imagine Suarez was warned about his future conduct the last time he was up in front of them, to then go out and bite another player a year later is asking for trouble.

I'm going to presume Willems said something nasty, but I'll ignore that, and say, whether you rate Parker or not is irrelevant, IN THAT GAME, Parker was excellent, I didn't say he was their most influencial or best player NOW, nor normally, but in that game he was blocking everything Suarez was doing, and Suarez decided to kick him to stop him, as he did against Distin when Distin was owning him all game, as he did to Mirallas when he was Everton's BY FAR best player IN THAT GAME.

eh

i made an edit to state i didnt rate parker hence found your comment funny. sorry didnt mean it to be taken as an insult

Willems didn't say anything bad iirc before the edit

cheers. i just added a comment so people didnt take the post as an insult. i guess it didnt work :(

You'll have to read what I said again.

Seems that reading comprehension is a bit beyond you when you are in this fragile state.

No I read it fine, its just you're making assumptions when I've said nothing to suggest it has to do which club he is a part of, nor does my attitude suggest so as well it couldn't unless I stated playing for lfc as a reason

So we can take that as, if Luis Suarez played for Wigan, you would hold exactly the same view about his ban?

It's not an assumption that you are having a fit where even you might run out of toys to throw from the pram, that's clear to see.
