Indeed, it's the same with Joey Barton, he never learnt so they hit him harder everytime.
Of those 6 matches, at least 1 is likely to be in the league cup given they are unlikely to qualify for Europe. So in terms of meaningful games, in reality he will only miss five matches.
I don't think they will appeal tbh, too risky.
I also don't think they helped themselves by coming out and saying that any more than 3 matches would be harsh.
I don't think we simply came out and said we disagreed with the longer ban - we were responding to the FA's charge.
I'm not sure that the FA would increase his ban if we appealed either. Due to the size of the ban I think there's a very fair (whether they win it or not) argument that it's excessive and therefore not a frivolous appeal. That said, unless we were very confident that we'd have the ban reduced, I can't see us appealing due to the reasons HangTime mentioned. Delaying the ban only means that he'll miss more games of next season.
Liverpool should get rid.
Why?
As a Utd(?) fan, what's your reasoning for Liverpool selling Suarez?

If I remember right, we banned Cantona for 4 moths and then the FA doubled it.
The only reason why Liverpool may be better off selling Suarez is because he keeps attracting the wrong headlines for Liverpool, you said it yourself Baz even after the season he's had he is never going to win POTY because of who he is so even when he's doing the right things it'll be ignored
Only you Liverpool fans can answer whether the negative headlines are worth the pay off of having a very good player in your side...

Longest bans handed out by the FA......
9 months - Manchester United's Eric Cantona for his 'kung-fu' style kick
9 months - Chelsea keeper Mark Bosnich who tested positive for cocaine
8 months - Rio Ferdinand of Manchester United for missing a drugs test
12 games - Joey Barton QPR fighting v Man City
11 games - Sheffield Wednesday's Paolo di Canio for pushing over referee Paul Alcock
10 games - Former Southampton player David Prutton for shoving referee Alan Wiley
9 games - Paul Davis of Arsenal for punching Southampton's Glenn Cockeril
8 games - Liverpool's Luis Suarez for racially abusing Patrice Evra
5 weeks - Man United's Roy Keane for comments made in his autobiography
Note that the other similar assault on another player (a punch) only got 9 games.
Definitely a conspiracy against Liverpool.
Quantify the damage that these negative headlines do to the club. We signed a record kit deal on the back of the racism incident and it was reported that Warrior have already agreed a deal with Suarez personally once his Adidas deal expires too.
Do you think the likes of Phil Neville attract more supporters, sponsors etc than Suarez does?
Joke, barely touched him.
You cannot let players start on the ref. Frankly I think they get away with far too much in football anyway.
