Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [19th - 23rd January 2018]

Your missing the point too!

Your forgetting Aubameyang AND Mkhitaryan have a very good relationship and were goal scoring machines together.

Win Win!!!
A bit like Sanchez & Ozil? So you're going to be swapping them for Auba & Mikhi and ending up well out of pocket. I'm still struggling to see this sweet deal.

Ye **** you arsenal fans being happy at being 4-0 up so quickly whilst you haven't had much going for you recently, idiots!!

Lol stop getting your polka dot knickers into a twist there Purdy.

Hey might as well enjoy our rampant start to the game, only a matter of time before we do our usual conceding lol.

And FFS stop with the rubbish who got the better deal  Jesus wept, I mean who really cares.

Sanchez got his move out of Arsenal, we got a pretty decent player in Mikhi and possibly Auba. Win win for both sides really even though certain people are a bit salty about it ;).

Without saying too much more in this thread, as with any transfer it will boil down to performances on the pitch. It's that simple, always is.

Jonjo Kenny breaks the habit of 4 hours of football and takes a shot at goal for Everton. It isn't enough though, Everton are trailing at home to West Brom by a goal to nil.

Walcott looking increasingly frustrated as he picks up a yellow card. He's put some good crosses into the box but nobody in an Everton shirt can be bothered to get to it.

I can understand the reluctance of the midfielders to get into the box. The back 4 is so bad that it just crumbles at the first sight of a counter attack.

West Brom good value for their lead and could easily be going in with 2 or 3 goals at half time.

I hope you're not accusing me of being salty. Arsenal are spending money and going to be worse off, what on earth would I have to be salty about? It's only win win if Arsenal's objectives are to stay ahead of Burnley.

Burnley - Utd has been the scrappiest game of football since the last time Burnley played. You could put a team out with peak Pele, Maradona and Messi in it and Burnley would make it scrappy.

Is anyone watching Burnley vs United, I'm not sure there's a more boring match on paper, so I'm curious if it's actually as boring as expected.

I have no idea how Barnes gets away with so many dives, he just throws himself to the ground every time a defender comes within 3 yards of him.

Yes, yes it is. I mentioned it after our game with them the other week, Burnley are a horrible team. They have no intention of playing football - just stop the opposition playing and try to win free-kicks.

He's up there with Zaha in the diving stakes but he never gets called out. He spent the entire 90 minutes vs Liverpool just running into Lovren, flopping to the ground and winning free-kicks.

Arsenal playing very well across the front 4. Palace are awful, so bad that even Iwobi and Elneny are looking like professional footballers. Wilshere again looking very good and linking nicely with Ozil. Glad to see Lacazette on the score sheet, he looked so happy! Hopefully he can push on and find some form now.

I'm clearly seeing or smoking something different to you if you think spending £60m to swap Sanchez & Ozil for Auba and Mikhi is a sweet deal.

What an amazingly dumb way to put that.

We're swapping Sanchez for Mikhi it sounds like, then paying £60mil for Auba separately and he's a striker fully worthy of being paid £60mil for.

Ozil is entirely separate, he could sign a new deal having brought in Auba... or more likely because no one else is making a concrete offer at all for him. At least 3 just english clubs were interested in Sanchez yet not one offer for Ozil.

sanchez on <6 months who can go for nothing and instead we'll get Mikhi out of it on a longer term deal, not the choice I'd make but going from a top player with 6 months left and no future value to a guy on a 4+ year contract is a very good deal financially speaking. Auba for 60mil is also a good deal, and so far the offer made is actually afaik 50mil euros and personally I want Ozil to leave. Ozil like Walcott doesn't suit a particular role, wants a huge wage that his performances don't deserve and has an attitude/motivation issue imo. I'd keep him on 150k a week but it sounds like he's demanding 250-350k a week range and I simply think he's very bad value at that kind of price.

I'd be happy if we could sell him this window even if we managed to knock 20-30mil off Auba's price with a swap + cash deal.
