Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [19th - 23rd January 2018]

Don't want to find a video of the leg break, sounds like Rondon was horrified by what happened and Pardew came on the pitch to try to help him. Double leg break, awful injury and awful for Rondon, glad I wasn't watching the Everton game.

You're right. Utd are letting him go on the cheap to Arsenal. They could have sold him for more but they felt sorry for Arsenal. Anyway, I really couldn't careless, I was just bemused by Combat's celebrations when a few days ago he wanted Arsenal to lose.

Oh diddums dont be bemused. :p

I wanted them to lose as it puts pressure on Wenger, but overall nothing will happen till the summer.

Other things have developed since then in a positive manner anyway. I'm trying to be optimistic till Wengers gone.

Unfortunately that incident was the only major talking point.

West Brom had been good value for their lead until Prince Niasse came on and saved the day.

Thank God for Oumar Niasse. The man that was not given a locker under Ronald McDonald has spared the blushes of his team yet again.

Everton were awful. A worrying trend since the new owner came in. The transfer policy that previously looked to bring players who represented the best bang for the buck has given way to paying inflated fees and inflated wages to players that are arguably not good enough for what Everton wants.

What exactly does Sigurdsson bring for £45m?

What was the point of paying almost £30m each for Keane and Klaassen if they don't kick a ball?

Bolasie has been another total flop.

These are terrible signings and it'll take more major surgery to fix this squad and actually bring in competitive players on reasonable terms rather than trying to make a big splash in the transfer market.
