Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [19th May 2013]

As I somewhat hopefully suggested last week, Jordon Ibe starts for us today

edit: The side in full: Reina, Johnson, Enrique, Carra, Skrtel, Lucas, Henderson, Coutinho, Downing, Ibe and Sturridge.
The other players will but unless we're winning by a few goals and victory is all but assured he'll turn it down.

He's already said that he won't take a pen, even in the 90th minute and the games won.

Liverpool team's the same as I said above bar Ibe in for Shelvey which is good.

He's already said that he won't take a pen, even in the 90th minute and the games won.
Suppose he wouldn't want to be known as the only player to miss a penalty with his last kick before retiring.

Next season's fixtures out yet ???????

No Football, No Copa America, No Euro's, Non World Cup year.

Canadian Football Starts in June. JUNE!!!!!!!! Which is ages away and College Football doesn't start till September.

Only the bloody confederations cup. It's Going to be a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG Summer :(

Liverpool team's apparently Reina, Johnson, Carragher, Skrtel, Enrique, Lucas, Henderson, Shelvey, Downing, Coutinho, Sturridge although Ibe was meant to be starting.

The last time we'll see Carragher, hopefully Downing and Shelvey and maybe Reina in a Liverpool shirt.

Christ, if its Reina's we going downhill

Fergie has gone all out and a bit mental, apparently:

Lindegaard, Valencia, Jones, Evans, Buttner, Clev, Carrick (c), Anderson, Kagawa, RvP, Hernandez

I'm not sure if it's going to be Carrick at CB with Jones RB with Clev/Ando CM or Valencia at RB and a diamond formation... but it's nuts and guns blazing!

I'd imagine/hope it's Jones/Evans as he stated in presser.

Are you English Clipsey, joking aside, whats the quality of High School Soccer out there compared to here. I look after a 9-a-side team. I got about 6 weeks to integrate to teams into one ready for next years Under 12's

yeah I imagine its Valencia at RB - although Anderson is a complete waste of space - and its a bizarre formation for those players but hey ho , nothing new hahaha

Arsenal team: Szczesny, Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs, Arteta, Ramsey, Rosicky, Cazorla, Walcott, Podolski

Arsenal subs: Fabianski, Vermaelen, Monreal, Wilshere, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Gervinho, Giroud

NUFC: Harper; Debuchy, S.Taylor, Coloccini (c), Yanga-Mbiwa; Tiote, Cabaye, Gutierrez; Ben Arfa, Cisse, Gouffran.

Substitutes: Alnwick, Simpson, Anita, Perch, Marveaux, Obertan, Campbell.

Pretty certain that Spurs are going to beat Sunderland convincingly so 3 points is a must COYG!

Yes mate, moved here when I was about 23. The levels vary widely, the poor teams (usually smaller schools) are pretty woeful and the top teams (rich in depth) are fantastic! The team I coach are of a high standard, we made it to semi-state finals last season (basically 3rd in the State) in our division. Some of our players achieved scholarships to college (which is great).
The setups over here are waaaaaaaaayyy better which is funny being it's the "4th" sport. Great fields, big stands, concessions, grilling going on, all sorts :D

If you are involved with some of the decent teams the standard is comparable to English mid-level club teams (u-16, u-18 etc).
I really enjoy coaching, which is funny as I thought it would be boring :)
