Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [2 - 3rd November 2013]

To be fair, Liverpool are not the main competition for the title, they'll be Top 3 / Top 4 - but I think City and Chelsea are stronger sides. We wont know if we are able to hang with those until we've played them.

If we continue with this formation we need to buy a competent left wing back in January and cover for Johnson. Flanagan doesn't have the speed or attacking ability and Cissokho looks even more of a liability than Enrique.

Gerrard
His time's up. Spent most of the game jogging around the pitch and playing short passes which is something a number of other players could've done in their sleep. He can't play game after game after game like he has been and he's now seriously effecting the balance in midfield. Sorry BaZ, we don't need players to compliment Gerrard we need players that compliment the whole team.
 
Good game to watch. First time I have seen Ozil for a full 90 minute game for Arsenal. Suprising how he drifts in and out of the match
 
Poor selection to begin with and the sub at HT killed us. As bad as Cissokho is, he had to stay on. Once he went off we had no left hand side whatsoever and Sakho was left out of position and isolated which led to their 2nd goal.

If we want to persist with 3 at the back then we need to sign a couple of wing backs. Without Johnson we've either got fullbacks that can't attack or midfielders that can't defend, and 2 retards on the left hand side.

Too much space because Henderson was standing there watching. Once Gerrard and Lucas got sucked across Henderson had to come inside and he didn't.

to be honest liverpool should never of been in the champions league when they cant even win a domestic title, the champions league always used to be exactly that for the champions of the domestic leagues.
 
Must admit some of the trolling from Arsenal fans is this thread makes me a bit sad. We're top of the league but we've only played two teams of any note, both at home. There is a hell of a long way to go, this could all fall apart in February like things normally do... I think some Arsenal fans have short memories!
