How many better players though, really? Strikers, no, right wing, hell no, Bale, debateable. On his best day Bale is FAR better than Guti, on average, Guti is more reliable, hugely better defensively, very intelligent and hard working player and doesn't waste it half as much as Bale does. Frankly Guti is the much much much more consistent player.

Walker vs Simpson, for me Simpson is more reliable, the hair is better than Kaboul/King, Ekotto is again unreliable but I'm not sold on Santon yet.

Tiote vs Parker, this season Tiote has been better, both excellent players, Cabaye vs Modric, this season Cabaye has been better for sure.

I think they are pretty equal in defence, Newcastle are a country mile ahead upfront now, and in midfield, I'd give 3 out of 4 positions to Newcastle and the only one for Spurs, Bale, is inconsistent.
