Maybe this is the match where we find out if Dembele+Siggy+Dempsey>Rafa + Modric

It is the type of match where a well organised defence is coming to the Lane and will sit back. We will need flashes of brilliance or crosses to score goals

Do commentators not know that Cazorla is nearly 28? They're constantly making out like he's an unknown and that Wenger has found him out of no where.

Surprised but delighted by the result (only able to follow on bbc txt today) - sounds like Liverpool had the much better chances and couldnt put any of them away (apart from the 1)

Maybe Liverpool deserved more today, but on the balance of results over the last few years, Im not sure how Liverpool can complain too bitterly considering how they have benefited in the past (against the run of play).

Glad to keep the pressure on Chelsea (and Arsenal /City just behind), and cant wait to see the cracker from Rafael either (with another assist from Kagawa too from the sounds of it)

Given the described dominance of Liverpool for 60/70 minutes , they must have tired badly given how Utd got possession back to 53/47 according to the BBC

Surprised to hear he is that old, but still a monumental bargain

Will Coates be a suitable replacement ?

He's done ok when called upon - he was very good vs City earlier in the season.

It will be interesting to see if he plays though. As above, when Agger was suspended vs City, Coates played ahead of Carra but today Carra was on the bench ahead of him.

Jonjo Shelvey said:
"I apologise to the fans for getting sent off but no way was I pulling out of that tackle in a game of that importance. I am sorry.

"I have also apologised to Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, just where I come from people don't grass people up to get someone sent off."

Is he 12 years old?

To be fair it's not much of a leap to say that as far as La Liga goes, unless you play for Madrid, Barca, or feature in the Spain squad, most people over here won't know who you are.
