While it's a bit disappointing to have been totally thrashed we are at least on course for a piece of silverware still. I think if we finish inside the top 4 and win the FA Cup the season as a whole will have been successful. There was no way we were going to progress in the CL this season and I think quite a few Arsenal fans suspected that there would be a point where we would drop off in the league as well - it certainly wasn't/isn't a surprise to me.
 
Interesting to see Cardiff today. Zaha had an impact. There's talent there but he could go either way. Also of note was Fabio and how slight he is. I always found it strange that upon arriving in England, Rafael quickly improved his muscle mass. But his brother, who I assume was given the same advice etc, did not. He continues to resemble a young boy and when watching them both it's clear he struggles with it. Perhaps it hints at why he wasn't fancied by moyes...
 
beckhams was further away but would say rooneys was harder to pull off

Rooneys was aided and abetted by a keeper situation though. A normal keeper would have perhaps turned around and captured the ball. Dis guy fell over running out of the way so...

I didn't say I expected to lose against the top teams by 6 goals several times, I said it's not a surprise that we have dropped off in the league.
