Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [21st - 26th March 2014]

The FA(or whoever it was) supposedly tweeted right after the game to basically say that it can be rescinded. Of course, I'd prefer Gibbs over AOC to have the ban as it means he plays less. Gibb's red card has in most articles/talking about the game, completely overshadowed how completely ******* terrible he was up till the mistaken red card. He was randomly running ahead of play, with no reason to when the passes didn't look like he would get it back, against a team in which they would be a huge countering threat. He's a brain dead moron who thanks to getting sent off, has escaped much of the flak he should have received.

AOC is doing what he did the other year though, finally got into the team after xmas after he signed for ARsenal, few great games, then lots of running and lots of mistakes, no real end product. This season a few great games when he started playing but he's been pretty woeful since then. The misses and mistakes against Bayern were terrible. Sure his pace got him in some nice positions but he fluffed all of them. Almost no composure at all.

That seems to be fairly standard for Arsenal though, they win a few games and half the team gets really REALLY arrogant, starting to talk about titles and scoring targets and how good they are, then they start playing crap, then we get thrashed. We win a few more games and they are being arrogant again.

Yet to see AOC produce any consistent form at all, still only 20 but he's effected so few games with all his running, and been terrible in too many.

Get in! Just bagged tickets to the game tomorrow!! If anyone here is a United member and didn't get tickets in the ballot for some strange reason there are random seats showing intermittent on the website as available. Just keep refreshing until you get a few available.

Just called to confirm it went through ok! :D

Business G|mp and forum G|mp are two entirely different animals :D

I've been to a fair few in the Stretford end over the last couple of years, always good fun drinking beer and prawn sandwhiching it up!

Gibbs and Chamberlain both available for the Swansea game, FA obviously took Gibbs card away but haven't given it to AOC.

EDIT

An Independent Regulatory Commission today heard two claims from Arsenal, one of mistaken identity and the other of wrongful dismissal, both in relation to Saturday’s game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The commission ruled that the dismissal of Kieran Gibbs was a case of mistaken identity and transferred this to his team-mate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Subsequent to deciding this matter, the commission then considered Arsenal’s claim for wrongful dismissal in relation to Oxlade-Chamberlain. This claim was upheld, meaning Oxlade-Chamberlain will not serve any suspension with the standard punishment withdrawn with immediate effect.

I guess they deemed it was going off-target when it handled he. WE WOULD HAVE COME BACK FROM 0-2 DOWN WITH 11 MEN FO SHO! (well, 0-3 ha).
