Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [21st - 26th October 2011]

Are Bolton missing any important players (excluding Lee)? Their form at the moment is shocking!
Holden. He was their best player last season and Bolton fell to pieces when he got injured. Add those two injuries to the sale of Elmander and the loan spell of Sturridge ending and it's not hard to see why they're struggling. They don't have the cover or the money to replace them.

Norwich looking good so far.

We're playing well at present but no city fan will take it for granted. Lord Lambert is a master tactician and has adapted us accordingly each game.

I'm pretty confident of us staying up, more so than before we kicked off.

The best thing has been looking at the so called 'big teams' forums predicting 7-0 wins and we've given them a proper game.

Christ what Lambert could do with a budget is scary...

I have been very critical of Dalglish on this forum and I stand by it really.

He returned to management at Liverpool at a time when it was hard to be seen as anything other than a hero.

I think this season is a proper test, now that the euphoria of new owners and having a few quid to spend has died down.

I also still think Suarez is over-rated albeit a very good player.

The biggest threat to Norwich staying up is Neil Lennons bad run at Celtic.

Great player but dives like buggery. He looks like a complete **** and acts like it on the pitch and I think that will rub certain refs the wrong way.

If you try and dupe the ref enough time, he probably won't give anything when it is real. Its his own fault though and its laughable that king kenny wants protection for his cheating.

Can't have it both ways. You want more decisions, get ready to have him sent off for diving every other week.

Utd starting XI

De Gea

Smalling
Ferdinand
Evans
Evra

Nani
Fletcher
Anderson
Young

Rooney
Welbeck

Again i dont want to seem like im knocking him for the sake of it but he seems to have the ability to create chances, have fantastic movement and get into all the right places yet doesnt seem to actually score the goals to go with it.

On paper the City team looks like a dream team with Lescott the odd one out. Utd will need to play out of their skins today to even get a draw.

Nah, that goes for both teams. If we play as well as we can then we will destroy them and vice versa. So glad not to see the sad approximation of a united side that was put out vs Liverpool last week.

Noel Gallagher made a good point this week and actually said he would prefer a draw simply because if City win this game the media will go into overdrive and assume the title race is over.
