Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [21st - 26th October 2011]

We're missing a striker which begs the question, why were Carroll and Bellamy even bought if they're not going to get regular games?

The issue isn't that we're missing somebody to get on the end of crosses/through balls, we're getting on the end of them but missing them. Carroll starting today wouldn't have automatically meant we'd have scored some of the chances Suarez created today because we might not have created them had the system been different.

That said, I'd have much rather seen Carroll start alongside Suarez against a team like Norwich than Kuyt.

KD Done everything bar getting subs right since he re-joined liverpool

Apart from waste the best part of £100m

Dalglish has bought expensive British garbage.

Exactly, I said before the season started his targets where a joke, it's as though he was given money and had to get it spent quick before someone changed their minds.

IF liverpool don't get a comfortable top 4 he should go, really no excuse with the state of Arsenal and the backing he got in the transfer market.

I like Suarez as a player but he wasn't even a KD target.

Downing and Adam are two of the signings of the year.

Suposedly.

Whats that? Downing is massively over rated garbage and Adam is this years Jimmy Bullard only half as good?

Well.
I.
Never.

For Pool to get top 4 they are going to need a decent defender, skrtrel is rubbish and johnson not much better in the top games. Only advantage they have at minute is that they aren't in CL so there is more time between games. But the defence looks ropey at best.

Carroll will come good but the jury is still out on henderson and dowling.

The good news is we've created more goal scoring opportunities then any other PL team this season.

The bad news is we've converted something like 6% of them, by far the lowest of any team in the PL.

Surely creating the chances suggests Adam/downing are doing their job and Suarez isn't.

I don't have the stats to back it up, but it appears that Suarez is the one making most of those chances, either for himself or for others.
Downing and Adam have been, other then the odd game, completely average.

It was a good header in the circumstances, as in being brave but all he had to do was get it on target, the keeper did all the hard work for him ;)

Can't really think of any other striker in the PL that would have attacked the ball like that. I hope Carroll takes some notes on it, he'll need them to live up to that £35m price tag!

Narrffff narrrffff Lineker, hilarious!
