Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [23 - 25th November 2013]

Oh I know it's all about the money and filling stadiums.
However, you can buy the NFL ticket for instance and have your choice of every single game and the stadiums are still full.
As over the top of an experience it is to go to a sporting event in the States, they know how to attract fans. Can't just rely on 'the game' and that's it anymore.

Not only that the attendance at college and junior football in the states is ridiculous, despite being basically unpaid kids, no where near the quality and with the big games available. Going to games, and watching sport on tv are two different things. The people that like going to games, like going to games regardless, the people who prefer football on tv, plenty never go to games anyway. They would only be increasing income by televising more games, and more importantly, just stop playing the games at 3pm on a saturday.

Anyway, ridiculous red for Wes Brown, and a hilarious goal for Arsenal. On top of that Newcastle have weather some pressure and got a second goal.

Barca with two penalties, Iniesta and Cesc score, Cesc won the first penalty, no idea who won the second.

this is what your supposed to do :D

Ye that would be the best thing to do, lets all the lower leagues play the 3 pm saturday and find a different time or day to play the Premier league matches so nothing clashes.

I'll never understand this. Here I am in the States watching my favourite team (Arsenal) on Live HD TV the Saturday 3pm game (or choice of other games for that matter). Yet when I lived in England, no matter how many subscriptions I could pay for, I could never watch this game.

I was wondering why the stadium looked so empty, this televised game must have stopped those hordes of Arsenal fans from their weekly flight half way across the world lol

Mackems losing and down to 10, again.

It was, a VERY strong challenge, but zero contact, and though he kind of went through the ball and came off the ground slightly, it's an exceptionally harsh red considering he won the ball, was one footed, was effectively on the ground when he made contact with the ball and didn't touch the player. That was a tackle that could have gone bad but wasn't intentionally dangerous. Red cards are usually for cards that are intentionally bad, or unintentional yet result in a bad outcome, this was neither.

Well, there are only 8 home games a year, 10 maximum. There are also only 32 teams.

Well just typical, wes brown makes a perfect tackle, wins the ball cleanly and never touches Charlie Adam yet gets sent off, just abysmal refereeing

I wish that Tiote volley never happened. He's had at least 5 shots from 30-40 yards, all way wide. ***** urging him to shoot need to be ejected and banned.

Shola assist and a goal from a corner. This is a very strange feeling. Love it.
