However good a player he is, the only other (bad option) is Kagawa for a CM spot, so its not like Cleverley is getting ahead of another fit option

I'd rather a youth player started ahead of him, or indeed Kagawa.
Maybe he'll have his Aaron Ramsey moment and come good (wonder how many times I've said this

Kagawa (imo) would be outmuscles by Sunderland in CM, and you will be waiting a very long time for TC to come good - L
do we have any good DM's in U21? Ive heard about a few AM's but not really the other 1/2 of the pair
Fellaini would be after TC for me anyway , at the very least equally as bad lol

I'd much rather see Ben Pearson than Cleverley.
Ive seena few U21 matches in the last season or so but while I recognise the name I dont really recall him (think he played on Friday vs Liverpool didnt he)

Poor result for Stoke. Man up for 75 minutes and can only manage a late goal for the draw.
Everyone at the club raves about him, I've not seen much of him but I doubt it's possible for him to be worse than Cleverley.

hmmmm not sure we do, I read somewhere last week we are in advanced talks with a couple of Portuegese clubs .......for around the 5m mark
(edit - and not sure he is worth risking an injury in a game/ training to get him off the books)

Kagawa is better than Cleverley in every way, so obviously he's on the bench.
Not as a CM against a physical team like Sunderland imo , Kagawa is usually pretty invisible in CM position- he only improves when he is much more advanced (centrally)
