Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [24 - 28th November 2012]

He might be, but he has that wild look of panic and fear that Gomes has/had. De Gea also makes more mistakes than Lindegaard.

Depends what you class as mistakes, there are plenty of goals I could list which I'd bet money that De Gea would have kept out that Lindegaard didn't, those to me far out weigh the odd incident a young 21 year old keeper is bound to be involved in

did i not?

No, this post.....

bale finally getting mentioned in the same sentence as ronaldo.

thought bale was overrated though.....

..... was 8 or 9 posts after anyone mentioned anything to do with free kick technique. Given your previous Lennon > Nani ramblings I dont think anyone is going to believe you weren't doing anything other than sincerely suggesting Bale is as good as Ronaldo

Lindegaard is not reliable, his kicking is appalling and he's not been great in other parts of his game. He's a solid backup but De Gea is far better.

It essentially comes down to whether De gea can grow out of his mania then. Keep lindegaard in for a few years while De gea settles into combining brilliance with steadiness.

De gea is by no means bad but his brilliance is massively undermined by his unpredictability. This may be a remnant from me watching Gomes who is a brilliant and unpredictable keeper. He was ravaged by his small errors and it ruined his career.

edit; who cares about kicking? Man utd are not Barcelona. Hoof it out/up or pass it to a defender.

Just saw an article saying Bale was booked for diving? Didn't watch much of the game but if that's correct he's about the 4th player to be booked against us for diving since Moyes had his rant about Suarez. Amusingly, in that time Suarez hasn't picked up a single card :D

He was. Just like when Spurs came to Anfield last season - running towards Agger, knocks the ball past him and threw himself to the ground.

Was that before or after Adams put him out for a number of weeks... Twice?

....and?

that'll be lennon who is playing very well and the nani who's days at your club are numbered?

And....if you want people to try and work out what the hell you're on about you might want to try using that little quote button you managed to use just then

Oh and FYI no one at Spurs is playing very well and Nani's days at our club are numbered because of his contractual situation, nothing to do with his ability but well done for enforcing your Lennon > Nani madness

over less frequent? lol don't be bitter. just cos he took your mid and defence to pieces again and you didn't have chopper adam to 'get stuck into him'.

Bale been booked twice vs us in two games for diving, was most booked in league for it last season, Ronaldo was horrendous but cleaned up and became easier to appreciate much like Drogba between 2010-the night before Napoli game, I'm not bitter, your digs for no reason are

Missed the first 3-4 mins of the game finding a st... way to watch it. I shouldn't laugh but, every time Walcott manages to go on a run like that it seems to involved ball getting stuck in his feet and a hugely lucky deflection(off Jag) to drop back into his path, then on this occassion it took a deflection to go in... potentially surprisingly awful angles but Howard clearly thought that was going lower and the deflection looked like it lobbed the keeper.

Either way, he was a passenger for the rest of the game, Arteta's ever worsening form is becoming worrying, defensively he's all over the place for the past couple months.

Sagna, the ever brilliant Sagna with a terrible pass, then a terrible clearance/slash pass to gift Everton a goal(still a good finish but they shouldn't have had the ball), seriously I have no idea who rates him, poor crosser, not great passer, and poor defensively. Uses pace to save himself in a lot of situations and his positioning is incredibly lazy because he has the pace to make it up a lot of the time. Poor performances all around relaly for us. Defensively, we're a joke, them breaking through and us making cynical tackles from behind or chasing a counter attack because whoever stays back is so easily beaten.

Arsenal just don't look very good, and we don't have an area with this team we can improve, and its yet another game where if the other team were sharper upfront we could and should have lost.

But from Wenger, we showed great spirit today, because we played a game at the weekend, and last week... year loads of teams play a game every 3-4 days, thats called... league football. Giving away another lead is great spirit? The other team missing good chances and not getting a penalty they deserved is great spirit?

Bale has been injured by Adams twice (I think), once whilst Adams was at Liverpool.

.........ok

seriously? who do you think? though in fairness, the first time he wasn't a liverpool player.

You two, no s, Liverpool fans are apparently very sensitive about the extra S.

What a line that was. "Can't spend, won't spend." hahaha :D

It was pretty good.
