Fair enough - on the other hand, today is going to be a very tough game (with how few NU have conceeded this season so far), so with such a confidence player (who missed his last few shots last game) he wasnt going to start, and sitting on the bench for 80 odd minutes (rarely does SAF change much before this unless there is an injury) - its not really going to do Berba any good either
He just doesnt cut it at the level Utd need him to be at consistantly
Yet last season he had a better shots/shots on target and shots /goals ratio than Rooney in the league, and was very very close to Hernandez, couple percent lower.
The thing is, he helps Utd control games, and he creates a tonne of chances a game for other players, his all around game is very good and he is often brilliant, just not capped with a goal.
You started saying that the other day, that he misses the target far too much, because in ONE GAME he didn't hit the target with every shot, so what? He was brilliant in that game and you arbitrarily took his worst stat in that one game and assumed it was normal for him, which it isn't.
I checked it the other day but forgot to post, IIRC its around 100 shots for rooney, 40 on target, 11 goals, and Berbatov was 90-95 shots, 42 on target, 20 goals was it.
So by this arbitrary, he misses the target too much, he should start ahead of Rooney then?
