Ouch :(

Who is that?

We got the win but that was about as poor an attacking display as we've put in all season. There was zero creativity from us today and it was always going to be a case of nicking a goal through sheer effort rather than cutting them open.

I like Can but he isn't and never will be an attacking midfielder. He never knows when to release the ball, constantly taking an extra touch or running up a blind alley and he kills our attacks. Him in the side (in an attacking position) only made Lallana and for most of the game at least, Coutinho's absense even more noticeable.

Fingers crossed Coutinho's injury isn't a bad one but my first thought was he's done his ankle ligaments and looking at that picture makes me suspect I was right. If so he could be out for 2 months and with Mane off in January too we're going to need to bring someone in, in January.

edit: Paul Joyce as just tweeted that the club don't think Coutinho's suffered a fracture. That's something at least.

Klopp's just said it's an ankle injury but can't say too much until he has a scan. From memory Origi was out for around 5 weeks when he injured his ankle ligaments - hopefully Coutinho won't be too much more than that if at all.

Just watched the first Leicester penalty against Boro, utterly ridiculous decision. Wes Morgan whilst fouling Chambers actually lifts Chambers arm into the air and into the ball. The referee sees Chambers arm and gives a penalty, it was the stupidest penalty I've ever seen and two points lost because he gave them another on the 94th minute (correctly this time)

Poor performance from Chelsea so far. I think the one thing that might be their undoing this season is that in my opinion they have too many 'fair weather' players, ones who play really well when things are going their way, but shrink into the background when the going gets tough (Pedro, Luiz, Cahill, possibly Matic would be my examples).
