Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [25th - 29th November 2016]

I cant remember ever seeing Deli Alli have a good game. Way overrated, though still young enough to improve a bit.

You can't have seen him play often then. At 19/20 he got into double figures from midfield last season. I've had a quick look and neither Gerrard or Lampard managed that until they were around 25 iinm.

Hes a hugely talented player. He's not spectacular - he's not going to beat 5 men and stick it in the top corner but he's quietly very effective in what he does.

Disagree until I see otherwise. :)

Alli just needs to grow into his own skin and learn the game, even if it takes him a couple of years (and it shouldnt take that long) he should have a long career at the very top of the game.

Far too young for people to be writing him off yet (just like Martial, albeit different positional qualities)

if that was the case then Arsenal should have had 2 pentalties
based on? i tuned in as sanchez took a pretty bad dive in the box but haven't seen anything else that would even get a penalty shout let alone deserve one.
they just showed that sanchez one again as well, the tiny bit of contact wasn't even in the box.

I thought the Sanchez one was a good shout, Ake stood on his foot when he tried to run past him not long after Arsenal went 1-0 up and Bournemouth were looking really shaky at the back. And then a Bournemouth player used his arms to block a cross. Granted both are soft but it was in response to you saying "seems like a fair few soft decisions, so maybe that's the kind of game he's reffing?"

Just seems a little inconsistent.

I said much the same as you when my only experiences were watching his early England performances where he was utterly woeful but in fairness, having since seen a couple of better performances from him for club last season, he has got something to him, he's not bad at all.

I think he suffers in that when he has a good game, he's not too noticeable but when he has a bad game, he sticks out like a sore thumb and very obviously has a bad game.

no just no
the sanchez one wasn't even in the box and he clipped his foot not stood on it.
the handball one it hit his ribs/upper arm at the same time, even the arsenal players couldn't really be bothered to try and claim it as a penalty. you might not like the Bournemouth penalty but it was far more a penalty than anything arsenal has had rejected.

Schweinsteiger on the bench

Is the ref having a laugh? Gosling goes across to shoulder barge Chamberlain off the ball, who stands his ground, Gosling goes over and it's a foul against Chamberlain?

Ridiculous decision.

No Martial on the bench for United? Injured?

lol all I said was that it was soft and inconsistent... Pretty sure I said all of the shouts were weak so calm down lol.

Pretty sure I just seen a Bournemouth player shoulder charge Ox to stop him getting the ball but the foul went against Ox... wasnt that what you said the penalty was for?

Southampton starting with youth midfielders, gotta love that squad depth.

Boufal nowhere to be seen, someone is laughing at our expense with that transfer i'm sure of it. £16 million and he's done nothing and is seemingly already injured again. Think i'd have sooner seen them buy Osvaldo again.
