Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [26th - 30th October 2018]

Can't really blame Wembley for the pitch spurs weren't meant to be there. The fact their stadium wasn't finished also meant they played 1 extra NFL game on it as well!

Still having a lower league level pitch might slow Citys game down a bit!

Interesting Spurs team, leaving out Alli and Erkisen. Looks like they've packed the midfield with runners in Sissoko, Lamela and Moura to try and play City on the break.

There were some 7:45 Saturday night games in the last round of TV rights.

Edit: Actually tell a lie that's meant to be from next season, guess it's to test the waters.
As per your edit, that's from next season. I can only assume it's because Spurs play on Tuesday in the CL so they cannot therefore play on the Sunday and all other Saturday slots were taken.

I think you’re right, as they are playing another Saturday night against Leicester a few weeks later, and playing on the Tuesday after.

Hiya :p:p:p:p

I don't think he's rubbish I just don't think he's United level. I think some of the United fans have dropped their expectations too much. If he starts banging them in then fair enough but his current record isn't the best.

Of course expectations have dropped, have you been watching since SAF left? Whenever fans talk of high expectations the accusations of arrogance are thrown around. You can't win.

Since his arrival at MUFC he's scored more than anyone else. Given he's not always been in the team I think that's not a bad stat.

Also, look who's around him, who else in the team offers more than he does, in an attacking sense? If he's not at 'United level' (whatever that is) then who in the squad is? If nobody else is, why wouldn't we look at him as a glimmer of hope? He was playing well before Sanchez came and stole his spot and I think he's finally being given a chance again but, who knows, he'll probably be dropped soon. He's clearly not the finished article but he's still fairly young.

Frustrating, that's all I can say that is. A weak first goal to concede, we've weathered their storm but we just can't get it together in the final 3rd. We've got behind them a few times but chosen the wrong option. They're pace is something else. We're still in this though. Smash n Grab !! COYS

Agree on the Mendy comments, I never got the chance to see him play before his injury but since he's been back I've not really been impressed with him defensively. His only defensive attribute seems to be his threat going forward which is great against most teams, but big teams that go at City can get at him.
