Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [27th September - 1st October 2014]

We are going to lose this 3-1 at best.

Sell Holtby and Sandro, buy Strombouli, play Mason. Face Palm.

I am quietly confident we will get top 4 at the expense of Liverpool. I think once the players have had more game time together and some of our defenders decide to be healthy again, we will be pretty strong.

There are signs of brilliance on show already but for every brilliant thing we do, we do something rubbish and hopefully that will be addressed over the coming months.

I am. :p

Long, long way to go (for all teams involved). Our injury situation is dreadful as well, not sure what's going on there.

Apparently Tony Strudwick (Fitness Coach) has been re-assigned to the Youth Team

Adebayor is a disgrace. He is SO LAZY

edit- it is worse than laziness! he is out of shape. He looks absolutely puffed after every 10 yard run. Inexcusable for someone who didn't have a world cup and isn't coming off an injury

Ox still looks utterly useless, managed to step on the ball a couple times, then chose the wrong option then finally when he passed it was rubbish..... again. One of Spurs best counters came from a ridiculously poor pass from him.

As I said, I like how he tries to play but his end product is woeful.

He looks dead unfit!

He does, he can't even move 2 yards quickly, does anyone know why he hasn't played recently, hamstring injury? So many players getting hamstring injuries lately and it's this kind of performance they all have when they come back, lacking that burst acceleration which means that 2 yards you can normally launch yourself forward you just can't.

I can't tell if he looks unfit or injured because he just looks weird.

Chadlol.

There were 3 unmarked Arsenal players in the middle of the box then if a pass had been picked out... Frightening.

Yippee, Ramsey injured as well.... thankfully we have loads of good back up..... oh wait, nope.

Spurs have had more defence splitting type of counters than we have but they've been woeful at the end of each one. Arsenal had one really good counter with Welbeck who was crap on the end of it. So much woeful football in the final third at both ends.

Apparently [Man Utd] Tony Strudwick (Fitness Coach) has been re-assigned to the Youth Team

This actually happened quite a long while ago, so although it was reported in the last few days, it's been a while since his post was changed.

The injury problems can't possibly be down to him.

Bizarrely, that was a really light touch from Rose that absolutely justified a pen being given. It was soft touch that totally knocked Wilshere over, I dunno how the pundits think that wasn't a pen.
