A very good side on paper that. Blind is woeful though and Smalling is always prone to not looking at all like a footballer so anything could still happen...

Blind is woeful? He's done alright in at centre half from what i've seen.

I'd use the term woeful for the likes of Chambers performance last week.

I thought we looked much better even before the red. Tadic was outstanding as was Romeu.

Clasie and Bertrand to come back and a CB.

Still wouldn't mind Austin but that won't happen.

Agreed we shouldn't get carried away but this felt the complete opposite of Thursday.

Indeed but there were definitely shades of our good old "press the game hard, batter the opposition defence, get no goals for it" at that stage.

I think we would have cracked them eventually. I was worried the red would work against us with them going all defensive and us not being able to break them down.
