Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [28th April - 1st May 2017]

Yea, it's just Henry going on about it, it's been working though, Arsenal have got results, it's not a familiar formation either so players will have take a bit of time to adapt.

Arsenal should have gone with Welbeck and Sanchez up top with Ozil in behind, hopefully Giroud proves us wrong

It's fine for Conte to go 3 at the back, but not Arsenal. Don't get it.

The main reason is Conte has used that system for years, he's had success with it and he chose to change Chelsea over to it after some time, probably not as a result of the Arsenal game, probably training towards it but not thinking it was ready yet until that point.

Wenger on the other hand hasn't used it, it's not his preferred style and he's used it after a string of bad results where he seemingly had no answer. Also presuming it's effective because we beat a crap Boro very narrowly and then City in a cup game is well, normal for fans, lose three games, worst team ever, win 3, going for the title. Win two games with this system, it's the bestest. Same players, likely same problems, a couple of results doesn't prove Wenger can make this system work with these players. It could do.... but frankly this is just going to be Arsenal's late season title out of reach good form spell that happens pretty much every year. It's just as likely we'd have beaten both teams in our old system.

That's almost an open goal, that's a woefully bad miss.

Edit: Just seen a replay, Monreal is coming across but he'd do well to hit him, he has almost the entire goal to put that into.
