Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [28th December 2013 - 1st January 2014]

The state of refereeing and the farce that is the FA is really, really putting me off football. You want football to decide the end result, not referees.
 
The decision to start Agger LB didn't work and the lack of depth in our squad was really exposed today but we still would have taken something from the game had it not been for another atrocious decision against us. The offside against City was as bad an offside call as we'll see all season and Webb's decision not to award a penalty for the foul by Eto on Suarez was just as bad. It was so blatant and Webb was looking straight at it :/
 
Well on the plus side for Liverpool the first half of season was always going to be far tougher in terms of home/away fixtures. So far played 5 of the top 7 away from home, and still well in touch.

Yup. And we've also gone to Everton, City and Chelsea and shown that we can compete. It's a shame not to have picked more points up in those games, but I was expecting City to thrash us and Chelsea to totally stifle us, so the performances were encouraging.

Seeing the Eto challenge on Henderson again, that was a lot worse than I first thought. He could have easily been sent off for that.
 
Mourinho wants his own tv show, it's the only explanation for the comments he makes. It takes a lot for Hazard to go to ground (when Hazard moves his legs into Lucas in an attempt to win a pen) and Suarez should have been booked for the Eto incident.
