Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [28th February - 04 March 2015]

Tim Krul; Daryl Janmaat, Mike Williamson, Fabricio Coloccini (c), Ryan Taylor; Gabriel Obertan, Moussa Sissoko, Mehdi Abeid, Sammy Ameobi; Emmanuel Riviere, Pa**** Cisse

As if Fellaini stands a chance against Mike Williamson.

LVG proving his tactical genius yet again :p With Young starting it's gonna be crossing it in the box 50 times again, without an end product. Or I guess Fellaini is meant to be that, but like you said it's either possession or plan b can't have both.

To be fair, Young has been great almost the entire time he has been fit this season so its not crosses I am worried about. We just don't seem to change the way we play when Fellaini is on from the start.

If we need a goal near the end of a game then stick Fellaini up there and put some more crosses / long balls in there but when he starts we try and play a passing game with a man who has the guile and balance of a drunk kitten.

Yeah I don't have anything against Young, he was easily one of the better players against Sunderland and could have grabbed a few goals himself.

Just confusing going with Fellaini, if we want possession then the answer is Mata. That's just the start of course, the pace at the moment is still too slow but let's hope we pick up from last week and turn it up even more.

United's starting line-up: De Gea, Valencia, Smalling, Evans, Rojo, Blind, Herrera, Di Maria, Fellaini, Young, Rooney.

Subs: Lindegaard, Jones, McNair, Carrick, Mata, Januzaj, Falcao.

Fellaini up top LOL

I'll be honest Saturday was one of our better games but still poor, to improve we probably need one striker (Rooney) with Mata behind him. Two strikers clearly isn't working as there isn't enough space for them and nobody like Mata to penetrate.

I don't understand the idea of Fellaini as a starter up front if you have a team around him that wants to keep possession and pass the ball. He is a good plan B but whats the point of him starting over Mata.

It is actually painful watching this **** every week. The results we are getting are generally poor but that would be fine if we were playing good football but we are utter dog****, we play such poor, pedestrian football. I genuinely hate watching us this season, I can't think of one game we've played *very* well.

wtf wrong with Gomis for Swansea, apparently just collapsed before re-kick off after spurs goal?

hope all ok.

Johnny Evans is a car crash waiting to happen. And that probably should have been a penalty no?
