Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [29th December 2012 - 2nd January 2013]

Well after having quite a rubbish Christmas this has been one of the highlights.

Got to keep up with spurs now and keep getting the results.

Well happy with that performance as well as the result.

Dm post incoming :)

We are a joke, thats not 12 goals conceeded in the last 3, 15 in the last 4.

Krul - Useless this season, last season he commanded the box, this year he cannot even command a barber to give him a proper haircut. He's always out of position, has no control over his defence and looks completely unreliable whenever a ball comes in.

Santon - Not a defender, he can go forward but cannot defend for pennies, positioning is horrible.

Williamson - How he continues to masquerade as a footballer is beyond me, it's pointless deconstructing his performance instead it's easier looking for those things he does well... nothing.

Colocini - A joke this year. His positioning is as bad as Williamsons, his communication is non existent, he seems to have lost about ten, never mind one, yard of pace.

Simpson - A poor man's *insert worst RB you can think of here"

The midfield and forwards aren't doing too bad. Tiote looks disinterested, 10mill would be astounding if we can get that for him, but the rest are tending to do their job if a little less efficently than last year. Thr forward line is still doing its job, again despite not being as efficent as last year, 8 goals in the last 4 is not bad.

Our biggest problem though is Pardew, he got his big contract and thought wahey! No need to try now, payoff guaranteed, he's the Adebayor of management :p

He has no plan B, he seems to have no plan A to be honest, and I fail to understand how can make such a hash of coaching his defence in even the basics of positioning. The man is a joke and needs to go before January and give someone, hell get some random from the Strawberry, the chance to spend and mold things. With us playing so bad Ba will certainly leave, can only hope Colo and Tiote and a few others who now have egos bigger than their talent follow them out the door so we have money to spend.

Nothing will happen though, we will continue on under the same idiocy as Cashley is the same as Pardew, has one plan (make money) and has no idea how to react to adversity other than duck and cover.

Well played Arsenal though! :) Walcott proving he should play central but we were there for the taking, complete joke! :)

/end DM post. :D

So if Walcott really does want to go this will only have increased his price I think. Should Wenger sell? or does he keep him and tell him he will be striker at the club if he stays? Does Walcott wait until the end of the season to see if Wenger lives up to such a promise?

I think he should stay at Arsenal if they promise to play him in a striking role and he should try to get that written in his contract somehow. As a Spurs fan it pains me to say, but he does seem suited to the role with his pace.

Depends on how stubborn Wenger is, he's had a few games in the middle and looked good now so they should try and keep him. If they lose him to a competitor and he plays well Wenger will look a complete mug. Though saying that I cannot really see and of the other top teams who would play him straight down the middle.

Absolutely smashed Newcastle to pieces:D

Was nice seeing Walcott get a hattrick, think playing him in the middle is working wonders for us. Why Wenger didn't play him there from the start is truly beyond me, seems to be his best position as he's wasted playing on the wing.

Still don't think we should break the bank for him wages wise but I'd like him to stay on with us...If he carries on, he could well be our next RVP/Henry.

Can't wait for the highlights later.
