Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [29th November - 1st December 2019]

I thought Djenepo handballed it but couldn't tell, now they've shown it again it's pretty obvious. How have VAR not seen that?

In fairness, you're always going to get random mistakes like this. Because it wasn't obvious at the time, VAR wouldn't have been particularly looking out for it and it's just gone unnoticed.

What are Norwich complaining for krul was off his line and players encroached the area its a clear retake!

Krul wasn't off his line.

It happened in the Brighton vs Leicester game, I think if BOTH teams have encroached and it's saved then it's fine. At what point does the attacking team stop getting this advantage?

That was the case here, there was at least 1 Arsenal player in the box too.

The problem with VAR is there will be countless situations of encroachment like that this season where VAR just ignores it, they can review depending on how they want games to pan out it's effectively match fixing.

Just to clear up the rules re encroachment, it would appear that VAR only steps in if the player that has encroached goes on to score from a rebound or from a defensive pov, goes on to clear the rebound.

That's according to Dale Johnson anyway.

Do the refs know that rule, or the idiots sat up in Stockley Park? VAR was supposed to clear up controversy but it just makes its own.
