Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [29th October - 2nd November 2011]

Gotta feel sorry for Rodwell, gets chopped down (admittedly after the ball) and so he's on the deck and then Jones runs into him while he's on the deck. Net result? Booking for Rodwell.

I half missed it but the replay seemed to suggest there wasn't any contact at all? A dive? Not sure, bit fed up with players taking advantage of everything they can like that this season and ref's being ridiculously harsh in punishing players. No need for that to be a yellow at all.

Great Carling Cup draw

Arsenal v Man City
Chelsea v Liverpool
Man Utd v Crystal Palace
Cardiff v Blackburn

Au contraire mon ami, it makes me even more qualified to make that statement. :D

hehe, yes, more qualified, but just encourages someone to talk about, just about any of our defenders :p

Damn, Baines with another great shot, unlucky. I'd have happily seen Arsenal spend £16 mil on Baines than £6mil on ruddy Santos :(

What was the commentator on about though, "great block by Fletcher" , after just saying its a blatant foul and surprised its not a yellow. Great block because you stopped Fellani the goal machine shooting on his weak foot, even though the CB was probably getting to the ball first?

Fantastic start from Arsenal, watch Chelsea pass it around at the back for a minute, then one pass forwards, and we're in trouble straight away.

Always find it hilarious how many times people say, no one could get up to support RVP quickly enough, yet the same people will not shut up about Walcott being lightning fast. They just showed the replay, the time it took for Walcott to react is embarassing, and then, again, he mostly jogged forwards rather than breaking his neck, he's painfully lazy, and entirely **** to go with it :p

Djourou looking woeful already, anyway for the record I'll happily defend our defence, at length, if we ever get defenders worthy of it.

Well Djourou can't defend at the best of times, we haven't had a coherant line for about 3 years, with Sagna/Djourou playing people onside consistantly for the past 2-3 years. No Sagna, but we've got Santos helping them out today.

ACutally we seem to be stepping up and again trying to play a higher line, with Djourou, slow, rubbish and stupid, and Santos, stupid and rubbish and Mertesacker, painfully slow but quite good and apparently can't talk that easily with our defence yet..... yay.
