Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [29th October - 2nd November 2011]

LOL RVP giving the champers bottle to Ramsey...nice guy and the makings of a good captain:)

Now i just hope and pray that we dont let RVP leave us in the summer...hes so important to our trophy aspirations....just need to get some decent world class players to compliment his amazing skill and ability.

Wow...what a horrible horrible game of football.

Chelsea essentially playing with the same set up as Arsenal do (4-3--3) but playing even worse than Arsenal usually do.

Villas Boas's giving a new definition to the seemingly futile offside rule. Playing a high line has it's advantages but against RVP and Walcott, what was Boas thinking!?

I love the way people are so quick to jump on the John Terry bandwagon, he's been the most solid English defender in the past 18 months despite Chelsea winning nothing. (Post double)

Cech was poor, Mikel didn't stamp his authority on the game at all (as usual) and Torres had his worst game in a Chelsea shirt (and that's saying something)

What a miserable day to be a Chelsea fan. Conceding 5 goals against nothing more than an average footballing side.

Arsenal fans- Don't get carried away, Chelsea were simply awful and you scored every shot you had on target.

AR53NAL FC!

:D:D

Hhmm should Chesney of seen Red?

EDIT: would have been harsh

To be fair he should have been sent off, had a defender done that then it would have been a straight red imho but luckily we rode our luck and Chelsea did score soon after so justice was done as we should have had a free kick before Mata spanked one in.

Love seeing that racist/cheating scumbag Terry slip up in the game...MOTD is going to be recorded fo 'sho:p:D:D:D

I think you miss the point. After the terrible start to the season, all the injuries and suspensions and having a young makeshift side get battered epically at OT, to give another big side a drubbing at their place, however terrible the defending, feels very cathartic and goes some way to giving the players and fans confidence that they're back on the right track now and will only get better.

I don't doubt if Terry hadn't have slipped we could have well lost the game 4-3 ourselves, but that's football. Whistle blown, finished 5-3, feel-good factor is high.

Dont get me wrong great win!

Just thought the length of the pitch, team celebration in front of the fans was a little OTT.

It was such a poor pass from Malouda that the slip probably didn't make a difference.

How do you know he's a racist? You aware of the full context of what happened against QPR?

Its not uncommon for a team to go and applaud their fans after the game. I'm pretty sure the fans will have appreciated what a massive result for the team it was and loved every moment of the players celebrating in front of them. They aren't robots..

Quite evidently, to suggest anything else would be kidding yourselves. It was a horrific day for Chelsea and a pretty standard performance by Arsenal.

Surely the whole not winning anything in the past 6 years would suggest that Arsenal are nothing more than 'average' in the current climate?
