Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [29th Sept - 3rd Oct 2012]

12 quotes there and not 1 mentioning that Spuds were simply better, I don't know who all those members support though tbf, but it's all how bad Man.U. were and not how good Spuds were, they're excuses for getting beaten
If you read the quotes by the way it's clear that my point wasn't pointless as one lad kindly mentioned.

Yes it was because people aren't making excuses and if you view them as excuses then it's probably because you're of a different opinion that Spurs were the better team (like you said). If Spurs really were the better team we wouldn't of had the chance to score like half a dozen goals in the second half would we?

They were better side in the first half, rode their luck massively in the second and at times defended well and given their previous bad fortune at OT and despite them coming across like a big group of tards post match almost every United supporter has given them the metaphorical pat on the back and said well done. Your initial post was and still is totally pointless though.

Thing is OMS we weren't inept vs you, we were by far the better team, even a lot of the time with 10.

Nah Liverpool weren't great last weekend, you were just better than us which isn't any kind of endorsement. Even with refereeing decisions going against you if Liverpool were a better team we'd of been well beaten alas they're not and we weren't

Yeah, excuses, duh.

Mine weren't excuses, I didn't say the ref didn't give decisions or opposing players cheated. I blamed tactical error by the manager, which is blatantly obvious and factual.

At no point did I say, oh if we had done this, this or that, we would have won.

Spurs played well. Deserved the victory.

I'm ****ed with the Manager which is a completely different debate.

Probably because Spurs weren't better overall? They played better than we did in the first half certainly, but in the second half we were better. It was an even game and I don't think either team would have complained if it finished 3-3.

Well Spuds weren't terrible that's for sure and you think Man.U were so how was it an even game?
You were terrible in the 1st half & they were in the 2nd?

Spurs were terrible in the 2nd half to be fair, they sat back and did very little and on another day would have conceded 4 or 5 as they have done in the past.

Not today though. :)

Exactly, and you looked very good in attack in the first and on the counter in the second. Evra again got roasted by Lennon and Walker as usual, and Bale got away from Rafael a couple of times for the two goals. I was a little surprised Bale wasn't given more license to get forward in the second half as we were leaving very few players back, but he seemed to be given instructions to help Vertonghen who was really struggling at left back.

We were much better and had 3 decisions go against us, simple as that Tom

after all the Man U have had against us over the years including some of the worst decisions in the history of the EPL (PEN the other year, Mendes goal etc etc). About time we had some luck!.

First half we ruined you lot 2nd half it was no contest

I ain't a United fan, but the pen. decision in 09 was a massive turning point to United's title that year, still hard to believe he gave it when the ball went pretty much the opposite direction to the way Carrick was running

Poor display this evening. We look so toothless without CMS. Though Birmingham certainly did not deserve to win the game. Wayne Bridge was excellent again, by far the best player on the pitch. I thought Stephen Dobbie looked quite good as well, a very busy player.

Is Bridge finally getting over his 4 years of being paid a lot nail hot women in manchester and becoming a good footballer again??

Dobbie looked good last year in his few games for Blackpool.

2 conciliations, Brum are a mega hit and miss team. Also the prem really isnt all that :( almost want relegation just as the champ last year was more fun

Bridge has looked half decent at points, he wasn't actually that bad at West Ham, and if you look up his record before last season he only dropped below 25 appearances in one of the previous 6 seasons.

Hell he's only been below 25 appearances a season three times in the past 11 years. Yeah not prolific but not as bad as people think. He has that general thing of being out of form and looking meh for several games but he wasn't anywhere near as bad for West Ham as people think.
